4) Esfinge, Guerrero Maya Jr., Soberano Jr. b Bobby Villa, Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora 2017-05-05 CMLL on ClaroSports (posted by thecubsfan)
15:51. Tecnicos took 1/3 in the best match of the night.
5) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero b Dragón Lee, Stuka Jr., Titán 2017-05-05 CMLL on ClaroSports (posted by thecubsfan)
11;%2. Guerreros took 1/3 despite Niebla Roja refusing to join in on any rudo tactics.
6) Carístico, Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone DQ La Máscara, Pierroth, Rush 2017-05-05 CMLL on ClaroSports (posted by thecubsfan)
10:42. Straight falls, the last by DQ when Pierroth kicked Tirantes when he was about to take the German suplex. (The kick visibly didn’t come close.) Pierroth fouled and unmasked Azul for the DQ. Los Ingobernables came out in Brazo tribute outfits.

This was not the most vital CMLL show and bad at points (Estrellita) but there were some decent moments.

The Crash (FRI) 05/05/2017 Auditorio de Tijuana, Tijuana, Baja California [@JorgeGCRR, @lucha_lipe, The Crash]
1) Douglas James, Oraculo, Serpentico b Black Danger, Jonathan, Último Maldito
Oraculo and Black Danger agreed to a mask match.
2) Arkángel Divino, Astrolux, Black Boy b Diamante (Elite), Famous B, Látigo
great match. Arkangel pinned Latigo.
3) Garza Jr., Jack Evans, Último Ninja b Bestia 666, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Jeff Cobb
Jack snuck a cradle on Bestia 666. Jeff Cobb gave Jack his finish after the match. Jack appeared to experience a seizure and was taken to back via stretcher. Jack was said to be taken to a hospital and appeared to be back at the arena by the end of the show.
4) Flip Gordon & Ricochet b Mr. 450 & Sammy Guevara Ricochet y Flip Gordon vs Mr. 450 y Sammy Guevara (posted by Lucha Libre De Tijuana)
money thrown in. Ricochet pinned Guevera (who seemed to be filmed by Jeremy Borasch.) Brazo de Oro was honored after the match.
5) Daga b Zack Sabre Jr. Zack Sabre Jr vs Daga (posted by Lucha Libre De Tijuana)
money thrown in. Daga submitted Sabre, who suggested a rematch with no rope breaks.
6) Penta Zero M & The King b Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson Lucha Brothers vs Matt and Nick Jackson (Young Bucks) parte 2 (posted by Lucha Libre De Tijuana) Penta Zero M y Rey Fenix (us) vs Young Bucks parte 1 (posted by Lucha Libre De Tijuana)
very good match

I initially assumed Jack was just doing some selling after the match, because it fit with him being laid out. Then, there was a video of Garza & Ninja reacting to Jack being put on the stretcher and it came of as much more serious. Jack was back outside the arena taking photos just after the show ended, so he couldn’t have been at the hospital long. Hope he’s ok.

The next The Crash in Tijuana show was announced as June 2nd. They announced in the building they were streaming this show, but no stream ever turned up.

The EMW (AAA) show in Tijuana on 05/19 has a Dr. Wagner Jr. & Ayako Hamada vs Kevin Kross & Kobra Moon main event. It’d be Kobra Moon’s debut in the group and a sign Hamada is sticking around even though she’s not currently on the TV lineups.

AAA TV today, in minutes from now, will have the Traidor Clowns vs Pagano/Mesias, Ricky Marvin vs Chessman and Kevin Kross vs Hijo del Fantasma.

Arena Coliseo tonight has Caristico, Mistico & Stuka against Kraneo, Ripper and Ultimo Guerrero. CMLL also had an afternoon free sponsored show in Arena Mexico tonight.

Ancla is running Arena San Juan with himself versus Latigo vs Drako in the main event. Diosa Quetzal & Keira are tag partners on that show, which is interesting because they’ve been announced as facing off in a mask match on the 19th. That seems like the end of Diosa Quetzal’s mask if it happens. (That show is billed as airing on TV Azteca, which seems highly unlikely; maybe they’re getting a clip on a highlight show or something.)

Sunday has Caristico, Marco and Mistico against Euforia, Gran Guerrero and La Mascara in Arnea Mexcio. IWRG has Dragon Fly versus Argentina’s La Mosca. MDA & Lucha Memes are running in Arena Coliseo Monterrey with a lot of highlights matches; I’d keep an eye on MDA’s Facebook in case they live stream again. I’m going to try to be at the ChilangaMask show in Berwyn to see those matches.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 05/12/2017 Arena México
1) Leono & Sensei vs Artillero & Hijo del Signo
2) Astral, Príncipe Diamante, Robin vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
3) Drone, Esfinge, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón
4) Rey Cometa © vs Soberano Jr. [MEX WELTER]
2nd defense
5) Ángel de Oro, Dragón Lee, Valiente vs Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
6) Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Stuka Jr. vs La Máscara, Pierroth, Rush

CMLL announcers had said the winner of the Copa Junior would get a title shot, but I didn’t actually believe them until it was announced. CMLL’s done little with Cometa as champ and a title change is definitely possible.

Semimain is Dragon Lee’s last appearance until he heads to Japan (unless they squeeze a Saturday booking in somehow.) Volador has apparently already made his last appearance; he missed Monday’s scheduled match and hasn’t been booked anywhere else. He is scheduled to be in Los Angeles’ UIPW tomorrow, maybe he and the family decided to take a vacation together before he headed out.
