Niebla Roja/Dragon Lee was pretty good but missed an extra gear. The booking here is weird – Dragon Lee seemed like he brought a group of fans to this show who wouldn’t have bothered with a Tuesday show otherwise, but he still lost clean to guy about to turn. Meanwhile, Niebla Roja appears to be totally correct, the Guerreros are holding him back from winning. This results makes sense if CMLL has big plans for Niebla Roja, but that’s hard to be confident about in CMLL.

The first match and the start of the second didn’t air due to some stream issues.

Dragon Lee was announced for this year’s Best of Super Junior. In a bit of a surprise, so was Volador Junior. They’re in opposite blocks. Dragon Lee is in the more loaded A block with Hiromu Takahashi, Lucha Underground’s Ricochet, last year’s winner Will Ospreay and a lot of others people who could sneak in wins. Block B, where Volador is, has KUSHIDA and many people who probably wouldn’t be considered as possible winners if they had been in the other block. Dragon Lee might have the better matches and was given the big announcement spot at the end of the field, but Volador seems to have a better shot of advancing just based on how things are laid out.

The NJPW tour lasts from May 17th to June 3rd, with an outside chance they could stick around for the June 11th PPV. Dragon Lee & Volador Jr. are going to be missed on CMLL cards during that time.

There’s cell cam video of last night’s micros match form Guadalajara.

AAA has a press conference today in Pachuca to talk about their card on the 16th. These are usually nothing important, just a chance to get in front of the local press to promote ticket sales, but AAA’s been hyping this one stronger than usual and inviting fans to come out.
