Tonight, CMLL will give Puebla a Diamante Azul versus Pierroth match. It’s unclear what Puebla has done to deserve this. They went all out in their H2L match to make it tolerable. This is an Monday show, which probably won’t have the same effort to hide the weaknesses. La Mascara and Rush will be there – they’re in the main event, teaming with Atlantis against Marco, Maximo and Volador – so they’ll get involved in the match somehow.

The best match of the show will be the fourth match, with the Panthers facing Los Revolucionarios. CMLL could use another set midcard tecnico trio, so the Panthers didn’t have to be the best opponents for Dragon Rojo’s group, the Dinamtias and the Casas. The Policeman/Espiritu Maligno feud moves up to the third match, and hopefully will move forward in someway. Fuego, Pegasso, Disturbio and Skandalo will also be in the match. There’s two tag matches to open the show. Asturiano & Rey Samuray versus Cancerbero & Raziel and Arkalis & Paris against El Malayo & Joker, both which could be good.

The show starts at 9pm local. Mexico is now completely on daylight savings time, so all CMLL streams will go back to airing at the normal times in the US. (I tried to figure out how the time change worked for Japan other places that don’t change time, then gave up.)

The Last Reel Heels, who’s podcast has moved to being a YouTube video cast, had Eric Van Wagnen on as guest this weekend to talk about Lucha Underground. Everything was positive: EVW expects a press release officially announcing Season 4 coming pretty soon, and figures they’ll be taping in Fall. That’s earlier than the last bit of rumors, but matches what Paul London was saying last month. They expect to start doing prelim work this summer, and are only not taping that early because it’s too hot in the Temple. I can confirm it is very hot in that building in the summer. LU timelines have a way of shifting and getting pushed back, but the optimism is nice to hear.

On the talent front, EVW mentioned he had lunch with Pentagon the previous week and they talked about how things are going. Pentagon said he wants to be on Season 4, and Eric wants him on Season 4, and they’re always going to do what’s best for Lucha Underground (and not worry as much what this means for AAA.) Eric feels this is going to work out that same way for everyone else in the same situation – Jack, Fenix, Sexy – and notes there’s usually some sort of conflicts like this the longer you get into a show. EVW also addressed the UK TV situation: MGM wants to find a network home but hasn’t had any takers, and it sounds like they’re only going to look at Netfilx as a failback when they’ve given up. EVW noted everything takes three times as long when you have as many partners as they do, but it opens the door for things which would not have happened otherwiese.

Hijo del Santo & Santo Jr. will be back in Albert Hall in Manchester in June 22. Silver King, Casandro, Laredo Kid, Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito, Bandido, and Hijo de Fishman announced. Tickets are 22 to 38.50 UKP ($27 to $48 USD), which seems a little cheaper than usual. Hijo del Santo’s Grafico column this week, which I can’t seem to find on their website, has him talking about plans to built a El Santo musuem. The Grafico piece that is posted has the Santos watching the newspapers being printed and Santo Jr. mentioning Rush and Sin Cara as two of his favorite current wrestlers.

This week’s AAA TV show is now up.
