Sky Team took 2/3, setting up a Valiente/UG match next week.

I didn’t see this show yet (just zoomed thru it to get the fall counts, so maybe I missed one in the second match?), but it looks like it was OK. Hope so. The big news of the night was obviously Valiente wearing pants. Not sure if the main event is a title match.

Today’s Tuesday show is main evented Angel de Oro, Atlantis, Caristico versus Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, which CMLL hypes around Caristico appearing on a Tuesday. They didn’t run an angle in the main event last week. They did run one in the semimain, where Ephesto cheated Guerrero Maya Jr. to win. Those two match up again, with Blue Panther, Rey Cometa, Luciferno and Pierroth rounding the match. The fourth match has the Panther Kids & Drone against the Nuevo Dinamitas, which seems promising. Star Jr. fights Raziel in the lightning match. The show leads off with two less exciting matches: yet another minis tag match (with Pequeno Universo!) and rookies Principe Diamante & Sangre Imperial teaming with Robin against angry old man Nitro, Arkangel and Metalico.

CultIcon previews this show. The show airs at 7:30pm on CMLL/YouTube.

CMLL notes Dragon Lee’s weekend in ROH.

DTU released the poster for their 12/15 show, but it’s different: the matches are listed, but not anyone in them. You can work it out based on who’s shown on the poster, and with most of the matches being who we’d expect at this point. They may not be all the matches; in the comments, defending the promotion as being more than extreme, they mention there’s only 2 hardcore matches of the 10 on the card – the poster lists five matches. DTU says mentioned they’ll announce the full card and test their streaming software on dtu.com.mx later today. They have announced the main event is a three way match with Flamita, Ronnie Mendoza and Negro Casas, and the Dragon Rojo & Polvora title defense againste el Junior & El Gio.

Elite promoted a show for 12/17 in Arena Lopez Mateos. Unlike the show the night before, this one appears like one they might be promoting themselves (though it’s not a TV taping.) Golden Magic, Mr. Aguila, Flamita, Rey Escorpion, Bandido, Imposible, Solar, Zumbido and local Rocky Santana are promoted with no matches. The message of the tweet, the first in three weeks, is actually a vague promise of things happening in 2017 instead of promoting the show. They’ve never been much in to Twitter.

This article on two brothers training in Chile to wrestle for XNL is really long and all in Spanish, but it’s a really good read if you can figure out a way to read it.

The AAA/EMW show in Tijuana on Friday had Psycho Clown actually winning one of those three way matches with Pagano & Dr. Wagner, cradling Wagner for the win. Aerostar was interviewed at the show, who’s happy with how his last two years have gone. He talks about possible feuds with Super Fly, Cuervo, Scoria and Daga (who he got into a long back and forth on Twitter a few days ago; Aerostar takes no guff on Twitter.)

Channel Guide Mag interviewed Pentagon Jr., who credits the feud with Vampiro for boosting him to where he is in lucha libre. Huffington Post has a Rey Mysterio interview and a contest to win a mask. shirt

Diana la Cazadora took Nina Monet’s hair on the main event of the LLF anniversary show, the Monterrey woman defeating the outsider from the US. A match between Maligna & Krystal ended without a finish when their braids got hopelessly tangled together and the match had to be stopped to separate them. That’s a new one.

In Arena Coliseo Monterrey, Bestia 666 took Rico Rodriguez’s hair.

Lucha Memes 12/25 (“Chairo 7: Hell in A Christmas Cell”)
1: Arez, Belial, Impulso, Freelance, Suicide, Sadico, Alas de Acero, Iron Kid, Aramis in a cage match, last one in loses hair or mask.
2: Satanico vs Trauma I

LuchaWorld has this week’s poster.

In this week’s Classic AAA upload, AAA posted the Abismo Negro & Pentagon vs Los Brenans cage match from 1998. The Brenans are twin TV hosts, and this was a very famous match at the time.
