Noa Noa Driver

Recapped: 12/03/2016

What happened: Pagano beat Psycho Clown in his home town. Perros beat the Traidor Clowns, only for the Traidor Clowns to beat up them and security post match.

What was good: Nothing. Maybe the main event was the best match of the night, but that was an extended handicap match. Getting thru this show has been a chore for a while now and maybe the good thing is next week is the final episode of the year.

Where can I watch it: It’s on AAA’s channel.

Previously: OGT and other rudos got the best of the tencicos.

The upcoming events announces Guerra de Titanes will be at Gimnasio de la Barrera on 01/20

Match 1: Pimpinela Escarlata vs Mamba in a bull terrier match
Gimnasio Municipal Jose Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/20/2016
Video:
Lucha Libre AAA

Winner: Pimpinela Escarlata
Match Time: 6:39
Notes: Mini Psycho and Octagoncito are seconds. Mamba (of course) attacks Pimpinela without getting the chain put on. Also, as done in every single one of these matches, Mamba touches all the corners – there’s six this week – it doesn’t count because the chain is still on. Mini Psycho runs in the ring and stops Pimpinela from touching corners at one point, with Tirantes weakly trying to avoid. Mini Psycho then jumps right back in and pummels Pimpi in front of Tirantes, who slowly turned to Octagoncito argue with him instead. Tirantes himself cuts off Pimpinela, gets kisses, and Pimpinela touches the sixth corner after a like a 10 second break. They play Pimpi’s music without Tirantes actually ever ruling anything. I guess that’s the match.

Review: [below average] the usual singles match, where nothing makes sense but we’re meant to take it seriously anyway. Chain matches remain useless and this wasn’t much of one. I have no idea why they bothered to do this in the first place or what they thought they were getting out of it. People like cheer for Pimpi (or at least for exotico spots) but all the stuff they added on to it didn’t get a better reaction or seemingly sell an extra ticket. My guess is they just didn’t have enough people for the show, stuck these two people in a singles match to make the numbers work, and tacked in the stipulation to make it seem important, but it definitely did not seem important by the time it was done. Mini Psycho Clown versus Octagoncito would’ve been less over, but it might actually mean something if Mini Psycho actually wins a singles match before facing Dinastia. Pimpi getting cheered for Mamba works for the short term and that’s just what AAA does in 2016. At least Octagoncito’s dive was nice.

Match 2: Daga, Joe Lider, Pentagón Jr. vs Dave The Clown, Monsther Clown, Murder Clown
Gimnasio Municipal Jose Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/20/2016
Video:
Lucha Libre AAA

Winner: rudos (Daga Metaleon Dave the Clown)
Match Time: 12:51

The Clowns jump the Perros on the way to the ring, which ultimately goes nowhere. They do attack them after the match too. Announcers pushed the idea that Daga’s won twice in a row. They also push the idea that it was Dave who was lost, not the other two. Security tries to break up the post match fight and get beat up. One take a powerbomb and is in seizures as he’s stretchered out. The Perros eventually come back to run the Clowns off. They pose in the ring for a long time after the match.

Review: [ok] The Clowns were not any good in this match, so the match turned out about getting them over as killers for more matches. The beating up the security stood out a bunch because they don’t normally do it here, but it seems like a waste to give to the clowns after I was relieved by the finish, because I had forgotten who won and thought they were getting that. Dave was very bad against Pentagon and the other guys didn’t look much better. The Perros couldn’t and didn’t do much interesting here.

Match 3: Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Psycho ClownPagano
Gimnasio Municipal Jose Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/20/2016
Video:
Lucha Libre AAA

Winner: Pagano (Noa Noah Driver thru a table on Psycho Clown)
Match Time: 12:58

Wagner unmasks Psycho after the win. Pagano gives a pro-Ciudad Juarez speech and leaves. Wagner has some general taunts to Psycho to wrap it up.

Review: [ok] Slightly better than Heroes Inmortales. Most of this match is Psycho Clown getting beat up and not really selling getting beat up because he’s got to get his offense in too. They did a better job of trying to make this more interesting but not having Psycho go five minutes without getting any shot in. I still wasn’t actually all that interested, but I appreciate the effort. It wasn’t a great match to fit the local crowd either. They were there root for Pagano, and Psycho rallying got boos every time. They looked hard for Psycho fans, but couldn’t mute the Pagano chants. At least he got the win at the end, though it involved Psycho Clown going to the top rope for no reason. There was a big table there, neither opponent was on the table, was his plan to jump over the table to hit someone in a way he’s never done in his life? (His plan was to lazily set up the finish.)

Wagner just now got into Nakamura
Pagano tope con giro
can’t believe this didn’t work
