Rudos took 1/3, La Mascara pinning Mistico.

Doesn’t sound like there was a standout match on the show.

Tonight’s CMLL show in Arena Mexico has Mistico, Mascara Dorada and Diamante Azul against Mephisto, Ephesto, Luciferno. It’s rare the Hijos del Infierno actually team up in a main event; they’re still the national trios champions, and have been for a while primarily because the CMLL Universal math worked out that way. The semifinal has Atlantis, Valiente, and Stuka against Terrible, Rey Bucanero and Vangellys. The next two weeks are Rey Bucanero focuses – the cibernetico to determine a challenger on 10/25 (including all three tecnicos in this match) and his title match on 11/01. That likely means there’s nothing coming out of this show, because Tuesday shows usually only have one storyline and we already know it.

Angel de Oro, Guerrero Maya Jr. and Drone (debuting under that name) take on Hechicero, Sagrado and Misterioso. The most popular guess for Drone has been Hombre Bala Jr. I’m not sure it’s him, but we’ll have a better idea after this match.

The lightning match is Star Jr. versus Skandalo, which will be a challenge (and probably a loss) for Star Jr. Rey Cometa, Fuego, and Pegasso versus Virus, Okumura and Disturbio is the second match. Robin & Metatron take on Akuma & Metalico in the opener.

CultIcon also previews the show. It airs at 7:30pm on CMLL & YouTube.

The Arena Coliseo Guadalajara main event is Rush teaming with people who don’t like him (a CMLL trademark), Dragon Lee & Maximo. They face Mr. Niebla, Shocker and Ultimo Guerrero. Guadalajara is also beginning it’s own official tourist bus today, after the success CMLL’s had with it in Mexico City. There’s been unofficial busses in Guadalajara prior, sponsored by bars, but this is linked up with the local bus tours. It’s $195 pesos per tripThere’s a picture of the bus: it’s a little odd Mystique is on the bus since she isn’t associated with Guadalajara and has wrestled there about 3 times.

Lucha Underground announced the tour dates yesterday, and today announced the details of the Phoenix show. There will actually be two shows, a 12:30 and a 3:00pm show. Attendance is free, but you’ll have get a wristband (and a new one for the second show.) No luchadors are mentioned as specifically appearing. There’s Facebook event pages for the shows in Houston and San Diego/Escondido listed as “12-6pm”, so possibly they’ll both be running two shows.

+LuchaTV posted video of Bengala being knocked out by Nino Hamburguesa’s corner cannonball in Mexico City on Saturday.

The Crash announced Sexy Star/Sexy Dulce for their 11/26 show.

Prensa Libre has a deep look at the history of lucha libre in Guatemala, on the occasion of the sport reaching 75 years in the country this past Sunday. The first show in Guatemala in 1941 – the then president was a fan of lucha libre, so they had it as part of his birthday party. The article mentions someone I don’t think I’ve heard of before, Joseph Azzari, as being a big star in the 70s. He’s said to have drawn a 30,000 crowd in 1973, and a 20,000 crowd in 1976 against Mil Mascaras.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania and the latest Lucha Report.

Fuego en el Ring has relaunched their show as a YouTube podcast. Episode 2 is up now.

Segunda Caida writes about Hijo del Santo & Negro Casas versus Bestia Salvaje & Scorpio Jr.

LA Park did an interview about the usual things while in Tijuana.

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 10/24/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Astro, Meyer, Zaeta Roja vs Espíritu Maligno, Guerrero Espacial, Policeman
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Soberano Jr., Star Jr. vs Ares, Rey Apocalipsis, Toro Bill Jr.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa, Stigma vs Bobby Z, Felino, Pólvora
4) Atlantis, Johnny Idol, Máximo Sexy vs Negro Casas, Shocker, Vangellys
5) Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, La Máscara

Mistico and La Mascara rematch in the main event. Atlantis & Negro Casas do the same in the semimain (and Shocker is around, so it could suddenly become a tag title match.) Second match should be good, though I may totally give up on Apocalipsis & Toro if it’s not. Bala being around here suggests he’s not Drone or CMLL isn’t paying attention. CMLL doesn’t pay attention a lot, so I dunno.
