Leon Blanco replaced Vaquero Junior. Gallo’s first match here since May. Malefico submitted Frezzer for the win.

Malefico & Frezzer are both in the main event this upcoming Sunday, so it’s probably the start of the story.

CMLL (MON) 10/03/2016 Arena Puebla [CMLL, Culticon, Notimex, Plantilla Deportiva]

UG took 1/3, sneaking in a foul in the third.

I haven’t seen this yet. Culticon says the main event was good but never great, and felt short. Super Crazy seems to be around – he was RT-ing Tajiri stuff last night – but he didn’t make this trip. Crazy is also listed on Friday’s CMLL card, but he’s no sure bet to be on there either. His situation seems like Rey Escorpion’s: CMLL is the much better bet to stick around, but he’s probably going to be used in a much better position in Elite. Maybe the big news from last night’s show is someone reported the names of the new card girls.

Yesterday evening, Alberto el Patron explained he missed Heroes Inmortales because a knife wielding assailant attacked him in a parking lot. Alberto said, in statements in Spanish and English, he was eating a meal before going to the airport when he was attacked. Alberto posted photos of his wounds, which look ugly, but says he was not seriously hurt and plans on making his appearances this weekend in England. Alberto explained it was filing the police report which caused him to miss AAA’s show. Alberto apologized for missing the show and said he’d make it up soon. AAA, in a reversal from Sunday, is backing up Alberto’s statement and wrote a message of support and praise.

AAA’s message was posted shortly after Alberto’s, and Alberto’s messages on Twitter were sent as replies to AAA. It strongly suggests both sides had talked privately prior and coordinated their statements. They’re fine.

Getting attacked by a person with a knife is a pretty terrible thing to happen; luckily Alberto doesn’t seem badly physically or emotionally damaged. There is a nagging suspicion – not just here, but in many places – there’s more to this story than what we’re being told. Among other things, it’s strange in 2016 that it took a full day for Alberto to say anything. I think the reality is the story doesn’t matter as much as having one at all, and Alberto’s now going to be continued to be booked by all the same promoters just as if nothing happened. It’s pretty unfortunate position to be in to get attacked by a guy with a knife and have people being skeptical about your story, but I don’t think that disbelief will alter his career. Alberto will be back in AAA on 11/20, if not sooner, and will be working all his other dates.

Today’s CMLL preview hypes the heavyweight battle of Marco & Kraneo in the main event. I’m sure that’ll happen, but the angle last week was Rush & Pierroth cheating Diamante Azul, so that’s probably going to be the thing the match is focused on. I wonder if the people who write the previews spend a lot of time watching CMLL, or if they’re just as bored with things as the rest of us. Titan rounds out the match on the tecnico side.

Maximo, Angel de Oro, Johnny Idol take on Sam Adonis, Terrible and Rey Bucanero in the semimain. The match of the night will probably be the Guerrero Maya versus Hechicero lightning match. The Panther Family face Virus, Vangelys and Bobby Z in a tercera that’ll probably overachieve. Starman, Oro Jr. and Stigma face Arkangel, Raziel and Cancerbero in a segunda which will do the opposite of overachieve. Leono & Bengala versus Akmua & (sigh) Camorra are the opener you should do your best to avoid.

Culticon has a deeper look at the show. It will air at 7:30pm on CMLL.com & YouTube. I think I’m waiting until I get thru everything else to watch this show, but Hechicero & Guerrero Maya is hard to resist.

Lineups

ELITE (FRI) 10/07/2016 Gimnasio Benito Juárez, Cuautitlán, Estado de México
1) Keira & Lady Maravilla vs Muñeca De Plata & Rossy Moreno
2) León Dorado Jr. & Mr. Leo vs Eterno & Fresero Jr.
3) Ciclón Ramírez Jr. & Zumbi vs Herodes Jr. & Samoano
4) El Bandido, Golden Magic, Último Ninja vs Argos, Hijo De Dos Caras, Karonte Jr.
5) Black Tauro (ex-AAA), Cibernético, Sharlie Rockstar vs Decnnis, Mr. Águila, Zumbido
6) Carístico & Xtreme Tiger vs LA Park & Rey Escorpión

No singles match this week, though everyone should be clammering to having matches with Black Tauro. Leon Dorado Jr. is a odd one – before last week’s Elite show, he only appeared on those short lived Lucha Attack shows (where he got a pin on Mr. Electro, so he’s not just a random rookie.)

CMLL (MON) 10/10/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Arkalis & París vs El Malayo & Fuerza Chicana
2) Millenium & Tigre Rojo Jr. vs King Jaguar & Policeman
3) Estrellita & Lluvia vs Amapola & Tiffany
4) Stigma, Stuka Jr., Titán vs Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Skándalo
5) Johnny Idol, Máximo Sexy, Valiente vs Kráneo, Ripper, Sam Adonis
6) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Felino, Mephisto

Mascara Dorada! I remember that man. He’s around for at least one more week. Idol & Adonis have a rematch in the segunda.

AULL (SAT) 10/15/2016 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Príncipe Metálica & Rey Celestial vs Ironía & Rey Inmortal
2) Sanely & Silueta vs Chica Tormenta & La Magnifica
3) Dante, Euro, Filder vs Arez, Belial, Impulso
4) Ángel Del Amor & Yakuza vs Emperador Azteca & Multifacetico and Sádico & Yoruba [AULL TAG]
5) Dr. Cerebro vs Ángel o Demonio
6) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Extreme Tiger vs Caifan & Silver King

Being hyped as “Klandestino” and some new concept (though it looks like the usual UWE shows here without being called UWE.)

Can you name the current AULL Tag Team champions? How would you even find that information without hoping it’s updated on the luchawiki? It’s not on AULL’s site or their Facebook, and it’s not listed on their poster. My theory is if the promotion itself does not have a list of their champions somewhere easily found, they’re of no importance. (The champions appear to be Amor & Yakuza.)

AULL appears to have a TV show lately, or at least a YouTube channel posting it as a TV channel.

PROLLM (SUN) 10/16/2016 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Kaito & Notherdam vs Black Marvel & Mala Fama
2) Genio Rojo, Karazu, Lobo Escarlata, Orbit 2000 vs Bato Loco, Chicago Rush, Corrosivo, Diamond
3) Crisis, Iracundo, Silver Kain vs Demonio Baltazar, Macho IV, Macho V
4) Judas el Traidor vs Virus
5) Aramis vs Golden Cat, Dinamic King, Black Out, Haziel, Rocky Santana, Mr. Potro, Yakuza, Sepulturero, Herejía, Gallo Tapado Jr., Golden, Forastero, Juana La Loca, Gargola Extreme[cage, hair, mask]
Coacalco, Tlalnepantla, and Renegados in the match
6) Negro Navarro, Trauma I, Trauma II vs Decnnis, Terrible, Veneno
7) Magnífico vs Tony Rivera [hair]

This is a road to the 19th Anniversary show, but looks like a pretty big show for the weekly Coacalco promotion. Video from these shows has lately been showing up on this YouTube channel, so maybe you want to ask them very nicely to put up more of this show.
