CMLL (SAT) 07/09/2016 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Shockercito & Stukita b Mercurio & Pequeño Nitro
2) Estrellita, Lluvia, Marcela b Amapola, Dalys, Zeuxis
3) Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Virus b Blue Panther Jr., Guerrero Maya Jr., The Panther
Rudos took 1/3,
4) Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Fujin, Okumura, Raijin
5) Diamante Azul, Titán, Volador Jr. b Sam Adonis, Tama Tonga, Tangaroa
Titan replaced Mascara Dorada. Tecnicos took 2/3.

It’s tough to tell in the pictures, but attendance might have been slightly up for the ‘normal’ Coliseo card. Next week is the Arkangel anniversary show. After that, who knows.

Titan ended up working 4 of the last 5 CMLL DF shows, only missing the Tuesday show (because he was wrestling in Guadalajara.)

CMLL (SUN) 07/10/2016 Arena México [CMLL, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) Acero & Fantasy b Pequeño Nitro & Pequeño Violencia
2) Forastero, Maquiavelo, Skándalo b Flyer, Pegasso, Templario
Debut for “Maquiavelo” (and rare appearances for Templario and Forastero)
3) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys b Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr., Titán
Stuka replaced Super Porky. Rudos took 1/3.
4) Euforia, Tama Tonga, Tangaroa b Diamante Azul, Kushida, Mistico
Rudos took 2/3. Kushida replaced Johnny Idol
5) Último Guerrero b Michael Elgin
Originally announced as UG/Kushida, quickly changed to UG/Elgin. Elgin’s been wearing both his IWGP and Elite titles, so UG decided to wear his NWA title, one of his Universal titles and another belt (maybe a FMLL one?) UG took 1/3, winning with a Pulpo Guerrero. Both men praised each other after the match.

Everyone’s raving about the main event, which we probably won’t see unless we were successful in talking CMLL into putting it up.

Yesterday’s AAA TV announced an 08/19 taping in Veracruz. It’ll be the final taping before TripleMania, with the first part of the taping airing the afternoon prior to AAA’s biggest show of the year. They’ve got Oaxaca (next Sunday) and Toluca (July 29th) prior to Veracryz, and will have a 20 day break between tapings.

Monterrey lucha libre fixture David Valdez passed away. He wrestled as Rosa Salvaje and started Arena el Jaguar. His sons Golden Boy, Simbolo, Rey Demon and Silencio are local stars.

DTU’s schedule for the next few months:
07/15 Arena Neza
07/24 Meztitlan, Hidalgo
08/02 Arena Aficion
08/13 Arena Lopez Mateos (combo show with Lucha Libre Boom, four way tag match announced)
08/14 Tulacingo
10/01 San Miguel Cerezo

Fenix was emotional after his win over Daga, insisting the new blood of lucha libre only needs support and opportunities like that match to succeed.

Hijo del Fantasma pushed the idea of himself, Texano and Pentagon as a regular trio in his post show interview from Mexico CIty.

The latest edition of the Sorpresa es Lucha podcast includes a in depth discussion of Negro Casas

SuperLibre guests included Cien Caras Jr., Espectrum, Dragon Rojo, Mephisto and Euforia

RobViper has music videos of 07/06/10 CMLL and 12/04/09 CMLL

Segunda Caida didn’t like the Cavernario/Cometa title match.

Lineups

Lucha Memes (SUN) 07/17/2016 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Belial & Black Metal vs Astrolux & Baby Star
2) Aramis vs Sádico
3) Demasiado vs Soberano Jr.
4) Drastik Boy vs Freelance
5) Alas de Acero & Iron Kid vs Dowki & Hanaoka
6) Corsario Negro Jr. & Drako vs Trauma I & Trauma II
7) Rush vs Caifan

Full card for the 300 Chairos show, which looks pretty good. Rush/Caifan sells the card on it’s own, but I’d like to see matches 2/4/5 at least.

Oddity: Black Metal & Astrolux are also the opener on the CaraLucha show on the following Saturday. (Also, there’s way too many Black Metals and he should get a more distinctive name.)
