CMLL (TUE) 07/05/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Martes de Glamour]
1) Magnum & Vaquero Jr. b Furia Roja & Linterna
Tecnicos took 1/3.
2) Fujin, Raijin, Sagrado b Hombre Bala Jr., Sensei, Star Jr.
Sagrado replaced Okumura. Rudos took 1/3.
3) Blue Panther Jr., Starman, The Panther b Disturbio, Puma, Tiger
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Máscara Dorada, Súper Porky, Titán b Dragón Rojo Jr., Mephisto, Pólvora
Tecnicos took 1/3.
5) Euforia, Tangaroa, Último Guerrero b Atlantis, Johnny Idol, Kushida
Rudos took 1/3.
6) Volador Jr. b Tama Tonga
Tanga Loa attacked Volador before the match. He was kicked out, but Tama still took fall 1. Volador rallied back to take falls 2/3 for the win.

Main event might turn up; I know there was a YouTube-er saying he was going to try for it.

I’m really curious how/if CMLL is going to use Idol and Adonis after the NJPW guys leave. We’ll find out soon.

IWRG (WED) 07/06/2016 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Guerrero 2000 & Osiris b Magic Dragón & Salchichita
2) Keiser Drago & Omega b Enigma & Keshin Black
3) Alas de Acero, Aramis, Fireman b Atomic Star, Demonio Infernal, Skanda
4) Dragón Fly, Emperador Azteca, Zatura b Diablo Jr., Imposible, Violencia Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3. Emperador submitted Impossible, is possibly still looking for a title match.
5) Apolo Estrada Jr., Canis Lupus, Eterno, Relámpago b Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo
straight falls, though the Insoportables may have done some mask pulling. They’d like a trios title shot.

Leo, Mike and Rafy are the Mexico State trios champs.

Elite resumes the Liga Elite tournament tonight, kinda. The main event is Cibernetico versus La Mascara as a tournament match, though the last time we were supposed to see Cibernetico, we didn’t see Cibernetico. (There’s still no explanation of what happened.) The other tournament match was advertised as Extreme Tiger versus Negro Casas, only Negro Casas is surely not wrestling – Dalys says he’ll be back next week – so who knows what they do. Tiger still appears to be working the show judging from his Twitter messages promoting it. He still also needs to face Atlantis, Caristico, Cibernetico, LA Park, La Mascara, and Rush in the tournament. LA Park’s in without notice seems unlikely, so either Atlantis or Rush is added to the show or Caristico is pulled out of his match.

Caristico’s current match it teaming with Michael Elgin against Kushida & Tama Tonga. CMLL’s not used Caristico on their own shows in a few weeks, and Caristico failed to qualify for the Elite International tournament, so this will be one and likely only interaction with NJPW luchadors on their trip. (Which makes it unlikely’ll he be pulled.) The undercard, which will likely only air in highlights, includes the golden trio of Mascara Dorada, Angel de Oro and Golden Magic taking on the medical team of Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Karonte Jr., and Hijo del Medico Asesino. Bandido returns to team with Ultimo Ninja against Heddi Karaoui & Okumura, and the show opens with a women tag of Jarochita & Lluvia versus Muneca de Plata & Keira. Jarochita & Keira have had tense matches on indie shows in the recent past.

Tomorrow’s Kushida/Volador has a new, unofficial, stipulation: if Volador wins, he gets an IWGP Junior Heavyweight championship match at some point. As with all matches set up on Informa, I’m skeptical. Maybe it’d happen in Japan at some point, since the idea seems to be for Kushida to have a lengthy reign. On the same Informa show, Volador said he’d rather face Rush than Caristico on an Anniversary show, and hasn’t talked to anyone in WWE about going there. Maybe Sombra can pass on his whatsapp info. Ultimo Guerrero mentioned a person in the programming department told him he was facing Elgin when the poster still had him as Kushida. I’m unclear how that happens. UG also threatened to travel to the afterlife to get his hair versus mask match with Thunder.

Dragon Rojo’s new story is he was actually invited to the Cruiserweight Classic by Dark Angel, had to turn it down due for personal reasons, but hopes to be in future years. This is hard to square with him campaigning to be in the tournament after it was announced.

AAA’s going to upload the unaired matches from Naucalpan over this week. Up now is the trios title match between los Xinetez and Aerostar, Drago and Bengala. They’ve also put up the Puebla Lucha World Cup show complete.

Mesias says he’s going to clear the ring of scum at the AAA taping on Friday.

Lucha Memes on 07/17 in Coliseo Coacalco
1: Caifan vs Rush
2: Demasiado vs Soberano Jr.
3: Draztick Boy vs Freelance
4: Alas de Acero & Iron Kid vs Dowki & Hanaoka
5: Aramis vs Black Terry
6: Corsario Negro & Drako vs Trauma I & Trauma II

Hijo del Santo, Santo Jr., Flamita and Garza Jr. are among those advertised for a 08/14 show in Mexicali. Santo had said last month a tour of that area of Mexico was possible for this summer, and it’s be Santo Jr.’s first matches in Mexico. It also suggests Flamita doesn’t have a long stay in Dragon Gate this time, maybe wrapping up after the July 24th show.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Segunda Caida reviews Lucha Underground, about two months behind. This is helpful, because it reminds me it’s been two months since we last saw Lorenzo Llamas. The police skits are the only thing going on in that storyline for quite a while. LU’s said we’ll see more of it during Ultima Lucha, but it’s a long layoff.

TKD reviews last night’s Lucha Underground, as does Eric and Voices of Wrestling. Lucha Underground posted a Worldwide Underground squash match earlier this week.

RobViper has a music video of 06/29/2010 CMLL.

Daga & Fenix are hyped to have their singles match on Friday. They’ve been in AAA for five years, in the same division, and it’s the first time they’ve had a 1v1 match.

Volador says winning the Gran Prix gives him confidence to take on new challenges in CMLL.

Stuka talks about his upcoming match in ROH.

The Crash says they’re running on August 13th.

Mil Mascaras was honored by the Association of Olympic Medalists.

Channel Guide Mag has an interview with Johnny Mundo.
