AAA is the start of the Naucalpan taping.

The thing I’m neglecting to mention of late is the new second airing of Lucha Azteca in the US. A rerun, some 10 weeks behind, is airing before the ‘new’ show. I’d presume this means the show is doing pretty well if they’re doubling up on it. Perhaps they’ll expand the show to two hours if it sticks.

We won’t know what airs on Lucha Elite until tonight’s show finishes.

  1. Considering that it’s CMLL and you posted “The thing I’m neglecting to mention of late is the new second airing of Lucha Azteca in the US. A rerun, some 10 weeks behind, is airing before the ‘new’ show.”, could Azteca become an LATV clone and go into doulble rerun mode in a few weeks?
Also, what is the reason that both Azteca and LATV air CMLL shows opposite each other at the exact same time? Since LATV airs it’s CMLL shows 4 times a week, wouldn’t it be wiser to air the competing show at a different time or cancel that 3rd rerun?

  2. I think Azteca will keep airing new episodes, though it would make sense to follow the LATV pattern of airing last week’s episode before a new one. The current presentation suggests this was an idea with no real thought, so they may have just grabbed a video and aired it without any more planning.

It would make more sense for LATV not to run against Azteca, but I suspect the reason is the two networks aren’t really paying enough attention to what the other network is airing.
