A good taping. Hooray! There’s four matches I’d like to see, which makes for a couple good weeks of TV.

Pentagon earned/demanded a title shot on Naucalpan (results on that coming in the morning.) It’s only his second ever singles match in AAA – Suicide beat him in 2014 – but maybe a turning point. It’s also Psycho Clown’s fourth straight main event. It should be pretty good!

The mystery person in the second match is strange – it should be Halloween or Pagano. It’s possible Pagano is booked elsewhere, but Halloween is tougher to figure. He may just be banged up. There’s no hint on the surprise, but that feels like a spot X-Fly could fit in based on history. (Edit: This is a good idea – maybe it’s Bestia 666)

Fourth match is a title match preview, with Brian Cage returning and being added to it. Cage figures to get his own shot at some point, and maybe sooner if he gets the win.

The Aerostar/Fenix/Drago match is cool on it’s own (and probably originally supposed to set up by them losing as a team in the trios title match.) It’s better being for a title shot; it means Hijo del Fantasma is probably returning in Gimnasio de la Barrera, and they’re at least going to start off by doing stuff with him this time around. Aerostar and Fenix have previously been stopped on challenges – maybe this will be Drago’s shot?

The Daga & Suicide feud picks up in a tag match. It’s kind of weird but cool how Suicide & Argenis have ended up being a regular tag team (seemingly based on lack of options for them both.)

Opener has the return of the Silver Goat Kid (though he’s more of a Silver Goat Man nowadays), plus the debut of Herodes Jr. & Tiger Cota Jr. making a rare non-Nuevo Laredo appearance. It’s kind of a secret Poder del Norte/La Milicia reunion, but that would be giving away Soul Rocker’s other identity. Venum’s still without out Ludxor – and might be for a while, since it’s said he’s had ankle surgery – but he’s got three other fun people to hang out with for this show.

I like matches 1/2/4/6 and 3 might be good too. This is as promising a card as they’ve had this year, they just need everyone to make it thru Ultima Lucha in one piece.
