What happened: Guerrero Maya and Dragon Rojo feuded, with Maya winning and challenging Rojo for a title match.
What was good: The minis match was good. The lightning match was a little bit better than usual lightning matches.

Review: [below average] Unnoteworthy match with not great action and more time then they needed; they ran out of irdeas on how to fill it and Flyer did so many backbreakers. The rudos weren’t much and third fall stayed slow with them in charge. Flyer looked sharp in the first fall, then slower in the second. Bengala was about normal.

Review: [good] stronger than usual match with the minis. Everyone was working hard, and working together. Eléctrico and Demus had some good chemistry on tricky armdrags early, and Demus was working well with Shockercito and generally behaving. The rudo control section wasn’t super exciting, but the third fall came together entertainingly. These guys are still going nowhere – there was some announcer talk about Astral’s desire to move up to the normal division and the possibility of another cibernetico for that sort of thing – but this was mostly the good version of the running in place match they’ve been doing for three years.
Match 3: Estrellita, Marcela, Skadi vs Amapola, La Comandante, Reyna Isis

Review: [OK] I wasn’t paying heavy attention, but this seemed OK and maybe even slightly better than you’d expect despite some awkward moments from the usual suspects. I had no idea it was seventeen minutes until I totaled it up, so maybe don’t take my word on it. It occurred to me watching this that, if anything goes well, Isis has fifteen more years of taking Skadi dropkicks to look fowrard too. That doesn’t sound fun. At least Isis dropkciekd Marcela in reponse. The finish looked like it was a kickout, and Tirantes didn’t really signal anything (which seems to happen a lot), so that was confusing as heck.
Match 4: Fuego vs Pólvora in a lightning match

Review: [good] a nice Fuego showcase, which made it bit obvious he was going to lose. They bias the offense in front of the loser a lot of the times, and it really felt like a lot of great Fuego spots and nothing from Pólvora. Pólvora can be a bit of nothing but his kicking out of the Flashina made it pretty clear what was happening next. Fuego’s rebound headscissors spot is fun, and he was generally fun in this match.
Match 5: Brazo de Plata, Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Bucanero, Vangellys

Dragon Rojo feuded with Guerrero Maya the whole match, unmasking him and keeping his mask after the first fall. Maya turned around the match when he finally returned with a new mask. Maya demanded a title match after the win, but Dragon didn’t like the idea.
Review: [ok] the Porky match was quick, which was nice. It wasn’t much good, since the feud meant the rudo dominated and he couldn’t do much of his usual stuff. Maya/Dragon Rojo sounds like it could be interesting; they really didn’t have much time to interact here either, since Rojo spent most of the first fall running from him, Maya spent most of the second fall away from the match, and they collectively fell down while trying to apply Maya’s finish. That doesn’t sound too promising for their singles match, but I still have hope for it.
Match 6: Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Titán

Review: [ok] The usual send everyone home happy main event, but even less to it than usual. The técnicos did some of their usual stuff, and the rudos just kind of got beat. This was mailed in enough that Tirantes couldn’t bother to wave his arms to signal submissions. I didn’t need any more than this, but this was nothing worth remembering.
