this is how the night went
this is how the night went

Recapped: 03/25/2016

What happened: Ultimo Guerrero lost to Cibernetico after pointedly out wrestling him on the mat and later fouling Cibernetico for the DQ. Pierroth officially joined the Ingobernables.

What was good: The tercera was good. A lot of this show was not good, including the Ciber/UG match.

Where can I watch it: Claro will have the main event, and the whole card will be on my channel later. You can skip this one though.

Match 1: Aéreo & Último Dragóncito vs Mercurio & Pequeño Nitro
Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. rudos
    • Pequeño Nitro splash Ultimo Dragoncito (?)
    • Mercurio powrbomb Aereo (?)
  2. tecnicos
    • Ultimo Dragoncito huracanrana Mercurio (4:22)
    • Aereo flipping armbar Pequeño Nitro (4:30)
  3. rudos
    • Pequeño Nitro bridging cradle Aereo (3:42)
    • Merucrio package piledriver Ultimo Dragoncito (3:59)

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:29
Notes: Stream did not start working until seconds before the first fall finish.

Review: [not rated] don’t want to rate an incomplete match but was Ok for what we saw. Nothing extraordinary and quick, but not totally mailing it in. Pequeño Nitro getting way into the ropes on the pin was hilarious, and something that some referees would’ve refused to count.

Match 2: Estrellita, Princesa Sugehit, Skadi vs Amapola, Dalys, Tiffany
Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. tecnicas
    • Estrellita inside cradle Amapola (8:05)
  2. rudas
    • Amapola Devil’s Wings Princesa Sugehit (4:47)
    • Tiffany senton Skadi (5:08)
  3. rudas
    • Dalys spinning powerbomb Tiffany (4:03)

Winner: rudas (2-1)
Match Time: 17:16

Review: [below average] One of the matches where I start mentally tuning out during the entrances, and wait for something to grab me back into the match. Skadi and Tiffany completely screwing up Tiffany’s finish will do it, but not for good reasons. Also not good: Sugehit’s idea of going silver. Got to decide if you’re Batman, Superman or Storm, not all three. This match wasn’t good and you’re wasting your time if you watch it.

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Hechicero, Luciferno, Pólvora
Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. técnicos
    • Guerrero Maya Jr. reverse tope Pólvora (4:36)
    • Angel de Oro mecedora Hechicero (4:36)
  2. rudos
    • Hechicero Mad Scientist Bomb Angel de Oro (4:17)
  3. técnicos
    • Stuka torpedo splash Luciferno (4:19)

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:12

Review: [good] Hechicero is back and he’s still rather good. The Mad Scientist bomb didn’t have as much snap are the other times he’s done it, but still was nice to see. He brought up the match around him and he and Maya were back at it as usual. There wasn’t a lot more than a normal trios match – there wasn’t as much working to up to the crowd here as there was last week – but the crowd still liked it enough to throw in money.

Match 4: Carístico, Marco Corleone, Súper Porky vs La Máscara, Pierroth, Rush in a relevos increíbles match
Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. Ingobernables
    • Rush corner dorpkick La Mascara (2:48)
  2. técnicos
    • Super Porky splash rudos (4:27)
  3. Ingobernables
    • Rush corner dropkick Super Porky (6:31)

Winner: Inobernables
Match Time: 13:46
Notes: Pierroth came to the ring with Pequeño Violencia & Comandante, but accepted a Ingobernable shirt from La Mascara. Rudos ripped off Caristico’s mask post match.

Review: [below average] Not any good. Porky is in physically as in bad shape as we’ve seen, and Pierroth being included in the Ingobernables is as dispiriting decision as CMLL could make. I spent the whole match hoping Rush & Mascara would just turn on Pierroth at the end, but no such luck. Crowd liking the Porky spots doesn’t mean they were actually good. There’s been good stuff with Caristico and the Ingobernables on Sunday shows, but this was not it – they seemed off or not as tight as usual.

Match 5: Cibernético vs Último Guerrero

Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. Garra Cibernetica (4:04)
  2. Pulpo Guerrero (1:43)
  3. DQ Ultimo Guerrero (6:31)

Winner: Cibernetico (2-1)
Match Time: 12:18
Notes: Terror Chino called a DQ despite looking away from the ring while it happened. Long promos followed

Review: [below average] slow brawl which really turned off the crowd. They told a story, intentionally or not, of Cibernetico being terrible as a mat wrestler but being able to brawl with him. However much they were trying, it didn’t work out – crowd was far more dead for this match than any one prior. This match might have been the draw but it was also the one they lost interest in quickest, and really disliked Cibernetico. Cibernetico was right in his post match promo that UG had to foul despite claiming to be a better wrestler, but no one wanted to hear it after he couldn’t get out of an armbar early. This match didn’t do anyone any favors.

Match 6: Atlantis, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Arena México, 03/25/2016

  1. tecnicos
    • DQ Negro Casas [shove for Tirantes] (1:42)
  2. técnicos
    • Atlantis huracanrana Mr. Niebla (5:00)
    • Mascara Dorada Dorada Screwdriver Cavenario (5:00)

Winner: técnicos (2-0)
Match Time: 6:42

Review: [ok] fine enough short match in other circumstances, but felt very lacking after three of the previous four matches weren’t any good. They shouldn’t have been been in such a hurry, but they did about as little as they could without totally feeling like a rip off of a match when it would’ve a good idea to do much more.
