Recapped: 2016-03-22
What happened: Fujin & Rey Escorpión advanced to the final of the Gran Alternativa tournament. Skandalo and Fuego appeared to be feuding, though they didn’t get involved in the finish.
What was good: The Gran Alternativa tournament was generally good, though the format meant no stand out matches. Rocky Casas (especially) & Magia Blanca looked green, but the rest of the action went pretty well. Triton didn’t fit in the criteria but looked good in all of his matches. The tercera match was the best match, and it was an overall fun show.

Review: [ok] Same match as usual: the técnicos had periods of being really entertaining (and even this particular team has the stereo senton con giro spot that seems to be getting over well) and the rudos were largerly boring. The rudos didn’t blow anything, so that part was better than usual. Magnus’ ode to Volador finish looked good.

Review: [ok] a match with some entertaining parts which didn’t get all the way to good but was still redeemable. Hombre Bala continues to look excellent, and Star Jr. got to do more than usual. Fuego versus Skandalo is not an exactly entertaining possibility, and teaming Skandalo & Sangre Azteca means half the rudo offense is low blow dropkicks, but the match overall moved pretty well.

Review: [good] fun sprint, with a lot of the usual stuff done at double speed and now let up in the match. Tons of dives too, including a dive train in the third fall and a triple dive either. The Guerrero rudos even mananged to work together on the finish (and the way the técnicos set up their own finish was pretty cool too.) Crowd got really into the big moves, which is what this mostly was.
