This is back to the normal Sunday randomness.

I’ll write about ChilangaMask, Elite in Naucalpan and a show in Berwyn tomorrow.

AAA and Perros del Mal will hold a mass in Perro Aguayo Jr.’s honor Monday at 4pm in Mexico City. There are a quite a few stories remembering both his life and his tragic death – the saddest to me is the Tijuana commissioner admitting not much has improved as far as medical care for lucha libre in the year since Perro passed away. So many press conferences and so many people with big ideas and nothing really amounted to anything; Mesias is quoted in another article saying there were changes for about a month and then everything went back to ‘normal’. SuperLuchas looks back at Hijo del Perro and the year without him. There’s interviews with the remaining members of Los Perros del Mal; Joe Lider says wrestling is not the same for him now, Taya says Perro was like a brother to him, Daga notes the controversy of even continuing the group (honoring versus profiting off his memory)

SoloWrestling interviewed Angelico, who’s was in Spain for a seminar. Angelico said Netflix had offered them a deal, but Lucha Underground rejected it for being too low. They’re hoping Netflix will come back with a better deal but are looking at other options. This is a difference between what a normal wrestling promtoion might do and how Lucha Underground operates – they’re a small part of a Mark Burnett media property who has a strong sense of how much they should be paid for certain content and are going to be more likely to hold that line. It’s probably affected other deals too – there are things they probably could’ve got done, but are holding out for better terms. Anyway, Angelico says he’ll be part of Season 3, joining the tapings in April and May, and htey’re shooting out of order so he may be part of earlier episodes. (It was clear to those at the tapings this weekend that matches were being taped for parts of many different shows and maybe not in any conventional order.) Angelico mentions he was going to wrestle in PWG and Chicago (AAW), could not due to his knee injury, but expects to do more with Jack in the near future.

SuperLuchas and Apolo Valdes both write about the Arturo Rivera/Konnan/Multimedios story.

+Luchas has interviews with Volador Jr., Rush, Negro Casas and Hijo del Lizmark from Homenaje a Dos Leyendas. The Lizmark segment felt like it got short changed on the show; I think all of the tribute videos they were showing during the last month went longer the the plaque presentation. The show went long as it is, but it didn’t feel like they did enough (and they don’t seem to do enough when the luchador isn’t there to walk slowly out to accept.)

Super Libre had a lot of guests, including Rudy Santana.

LuchaWorld has a recap of Homenaje a Dos Leyendas and KrisZ’s news report.

Rob has music videos of 08/31/15 AAA and 06/26/15 CMLL.

Segunda Caida reviews Chairo II.

Black Fire faces Axel Dieter Jr. on 04/02 WXW show, and posted a video talking about his month in Europe.

Diosa Atenea beat Sexy Girl to keep the WWS championship and earn an appearance in Europe.

There’s a new history of women’s lucha libre exhibit in Queretaro

Dragon Rojo is going for the Norte Welterweight Championship on Thursday.
