H2L, Dorada defeats Casas, FILL beats Toluca, Kamaitachi bikini challenge?

CMLL (TUE) 03/01/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) El Divino & Magnum b Maléfico & Thunder Boy
Tecnicos took 1/3
2) Bengala, Flyer, Leono b Artillero, Inquisidor, Sádico
Sadico replaced Espiritu Negro. Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja
Tecnicos took 1/3.
4) Máscara Dorada © b Negro Casas [CMLL WELTER]
Casas took one with the casita, Dorada took two with a submission, and Dorada took three with a casita to keep the title. Dorada 2nd defense
5) La Máscara, Mistico, Súper Porky b Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
Rey Escorpion’s return after his usual winter absence. Tecnicos took 2/3, Mistica on Rey Escorpion.

Dorada, while hyping his match this weekend with Extreme Tiger, says money was thrown in for this title match.

IWRG FILL (WED) 03/02/2016 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Adrenalina b Ángel De La Muerte II
2) Fire Man & Galaxy b Black Dragón & Osiris
3) Blue Monsther, Criss Boy, Zatura b Acero, Picudo Jr., Troll
4) Alas de Acero, Aramis, Atomic Star, Dragón Fly, Freyser, Kanon, Power Bull, Violencia Jr. b Black Mercury, El Resplandor, Gemelo Fantástico I, Gemelo Fantástico II, Iron Kid, Príncipe Pantera, Príncipe Pantera Jr., Psycho Kid [Copa Higher Power]
Gym FILL vs Gym Toluca, rematch from last week. Gemelo’s trying making the switch again, Uno coming in to replace Dos after Uno had been eliminated, but Dragon Fly just beat Uno this time. Gemelos challenged any two members of the Naucalpan team to an apuesta match.
5) Leo, Mike, Rafy b Factor, Rayan, Spector
Tortugas took 2/3. Rafy bled. Spector fouled Mike, but Leo came in to foul Spector and Mike covered for the win. Apuesta challenges followed.

Those rudos still wrestle a bit around Mexico State but rarely in Naucalpan after losing their masks. The Tortugas in a mask match feels like something that would be a big deal.

CMLL has an article clarifying their Mexico City schedule for next few weeks:
03/04 Friday: Arena Mexico
03/05 Saturday: Arena Coliseo
03/06 Sunday: MOVED to Arena Coliseo
03/08 Tuesday: Arena Mexico
03/11 Friday: Arena Mexico
03/12 Saturday: Arena Coliseo
03/13 Sunday: MOVED to Arena Coliseo
03/15 Tuesday: MOVED to Arena Coliseo
03/18 Friday: Arena Mexico (Homenaje a Dos Leyendas) – back to normal after this point

There’s no mention of Elite Wednesdays, so they’re either not starting until after Dos Leyendas or they’re not starting. Start times all remain the same. They’ll have normal Turiluchas service for all these shows, including the Tuesday show moved to Arena Coliseo. There’s no mention of if the Tuesday show will be on YouTube, but assume so.

Last night’s Lucha Underground announced an Aztec Warfare match will take place on March 23rd. That’s the same night as Rey de Reyes. There’s been no hint of Rey de Reyes being available on iPPV (or regular PPV!) so it may be impossible to see both shows, but it’s going to be a pretty creatively interesting night for AAA and AAA related promotions. Anyway, this

March 04 FRI 20:45 AAA TV taping in Toluca (Rey de Reyes Group 4)

March 16 WED 19:00 LU episode 8, matches TBA
March 18 FRI 20:30 CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas [iPPV? Claro?]
March 20 SUN 14:00 ChilangaMask 3rd Anniversary show (Caifans vs Traumas, ACH vs ?)

March 23 WED 20:45 AAA Rey de Reyes in San Luis Potosi [iPPV?]
March 25 FRI 20:30 CMLL Arena Mexico [Claro]
March 30 WED 19:00 LU episode 10

That doesn’t include the usual Monday/Tuesday streams of CMLL.

In putting together this list, I realized I missed the news that Saturday’s Go Mask show – the one which had Pentagon vs Fenix vs Aerostar vs Taurus as the main event – has been announced as postponed.

Court Bauer posted a photo of the run sheet of an AAA episode he’s taping today; it’s the first part of the Cuautitlan taping, a show I liked. Note the hash tag is AAAinEnglish, not AAAinUS.

Yesterday on Informa, Lluvia and Reina Isis each other made a bet where the loser of their match on Saturday would have to wear a bikini and hand out salad during next week’s Informa. Informa is really getting weird. Anyway, Kamaitachi was one of the next guests and said he too would wear a bikini if he lost to Dragon Lee on Friday.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update

RobViper has a music video of 08/21/15 CMLL

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of Skayde & Cancer vs Turbo & Mimo vs Senky & Astro Negro.

Super Comando revealed the Chicago stop of the upcoming lucha tour (with Demus, Electrico, Zexuis and Lluvia) will be on March 20th in Berwyn. He also says that’s his last US match for now. No word on where the other shows are going to be.

Pequeno MS-1 is off a Friday night show in Campeche, because he broke three toes in a car accident. The video includes footage of the car accident (car is upside down!) and just about shows the toes.

Lucha Libre in Japan

NJPW announced the return of the Super J Cup, a single elimination junior heavyweight tournament, to take place on August 21st. That’s about the same time the WWE Cruiserweight tournament will be wrapping up. CMLL was listed as one of the participating promotions. No names or even size of the tournament was mentioned, but Dragon Lee being involved is a safe assumption.

Silueta is wrestling on the FukumenMania show on 03/06. She and Zeuxis face each other in a singles match again on 03/25 in Korakuen Hall for REINA.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 03/18/2016 Arena México

1) Oro Jr. & Soberano Jr. vs El Cuatrero & Sansón
2) Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Titán vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
3) Dragón Lee, Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente vs Fujin, Kamaitachi, Okumura, Raijin
4) Rush vs Máximo Sexy [hair]
5) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Súper Porky vs Cibernético, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero
6) Volador Jr. vs Negro Casas [hair]

Not really much of interest added to the card, and some people (Niebla, Oro) who don’t seem to quite fit. I’m really surprised they didn’t include Caristico or La Mascara. The semimain is obviously the super casual match, but it would’ve still been one with those two guys in for anyone else (and they make more sense than just about anyone booked in that match.) It’s got to be a specific decision not to have Caristico on the big shows at this point.

First two matches could be fun on a big show where there’s not the same limits on those early matches.

2 thoughts to “H2L, Dorada defeats Casas, FILL beats Toluca, Kamaitachi bikini challenge?”

  1. May be an issue that Caristico can’t wrestle above Mistico & that atomicos match was never going to be the semi main. So he isn’t coming to work the second or third match. Cibernetico being on the show is really surprising and I wonder if it won’t change.
