5) Villano IV vs Electroshock, Chessman, Jack Evans [AAA Rey de Reyes, semifinal]
group 2
6) La Parka vs Psycho Clown, Averno, Zorro [AAA Rey de Reyes, semifinal]
group 3

Air Date: 02/27 & 03/05 – probably need to make the chart at some point, when everything else isn’t broken.

Putting all those blocks in one place:
1: Dr. Wagner Jr., Blue Demon Jr., Garza Jr., Taurus (02/06)
2: Villano IV, Electroshock, Chessman, Jack Evans
3: La Parka, Psycho Clown, Averno, Zorro
4 : ??? (is there a fourth?)

The first block will inform the third one: if Wagner advances, then Psycho does as well (and then there’s likely at least one more match with them at Verano de Escandalo, maybe another at TripleMania if they’re locked in together.)  The second block is harder to figure, but Jack might a favorite. He’s got nothing to do with Angelico out of the moment, so it probably depends on if they’re doing Suicide/Daga or if he’ll be part of a trios match with those guys. Electroshock could be possible if there’s a fourth block for Hijo del Pirata to get involved in.

That’s the third time AAA’s run the same exact opener (though none in ten months – those guys disappeared in the second half of the year), plus a lot of trios. Apache & Carta never win when it’s 2v2, hope they’ve been coming up with a new strategy.

The usual opener Relevos AAA match being the fourth match is the strangest thing. Especially since the trios match has an issue, and the title match is a title match. I must be reading the lineup wrong.

Tough to predict the title match without knowing who’s going to be in it. Sexy Star has some high profile press appearance with AAA and it’s nice for her to have a belt for those. Sexy Star has also not been around with AAA much, so maybe she loses the belt here because she might not have a chance later. It’s the mixed tag title, it doesn’t really matter either way. (Pentagon doesn’t seem to be a booking factor in his programs.) Match should be good with any of the three teams who could win the shot.

AAA seems to be saying it won’t be Lady Shani & Hijo del Pirata Morgan winning the shot, since Pirata’s already booked. Fantasma & Taya and Bengala & Fabi are not booked.

Next taping after this is not clear – we don’t know when (or where) Rey de Reyes. If it’s early March, then it’s the next taping. If it’s mid march,t hey may squeeze one more in. There’s already an announced taping in late March in San Luis Potosi.

  1. Don’t you think VIllano IV vs Psycho Clown masks match could be Triplemania’s main event?

  2. They were definitely teasing that last year, but it seems like it’s been dropped cold in favor of the Wagner/Psycho thing.

  3. Jack will win, mos def, they always need a flippy bumper in Rey de Reyes finals. If AAA had someone with half-brain in management, they’d have Psycho and Wagner cost each other in these upcoming Eliminatorias and have Taurus or Garza Jr. win the tournament. But the problem with Wagner is, you can never plan an endgame with him, not even for a short storyline, because dude’s such a basket case.
