What happened: Los Perros del Mal beat everyone up, with Daga demanding an apuesta match with Australian Suicide. La Secta & Zorro rebounded to get their first win as a team.
The show also promoted the three Guerra de Titanes matches with a title involved. The matches on the show felt very disconnected to the card (and anything, really.)
What was good: The first two matches were fun and worth watching.
Where can I watch it: It’s on my channel and AAA’s channel.
The episode features promos for Guerra de Titanes that lists the matches (though they appear to be too new for the voice over to actually name them.)
Winner: Dinastia (Tulancingo Special)
Match Time: 9:48
Notes: Venum is a sub as a mini.
Daga, Joe Lider and Pentagon Jr. walk thru the crowd and beat up the winning tecnicos after the match. The mini rudos get hugs. They talk for a while, talk a lot, don’t really have anything to say (“we’re really good, here’s our catchphrase”), but the crowd is cool with it.
Review: [good] Entertaining Dinastia showcase. The rudos – especially Mini Psycho Clown – didn’t get to do a lot more than take the offense of the tecnicos, but the tenicos offense went well. Venum did not stick out as being too tall for this match, which is kind of a problem for him but at least we got a good match out of it. It feels like something needs to happen (someone needs to be brought in?) to push Dinastia to a higher level, but I’m alright with these level of performances on a regular basis.
Winner: tecnicos (Suicide huracanrana Daga)
Match Time: 13:43
Notes: Riano announces Jack as the Justin Bieber of lucha libre. That seems mean. Rudos beat up the tecnicos after their loss, of course. Jack takes the Pentadriver. Suicide is unmasked. He’s bald now. Daga demanded a mask versus hair match with Suicide. Perros try to stop the tecnicos from getting medical treatment, which stretches this out even longer.
Review: [good] this one felt like it was missing something early, but got to a higher level later on in the match. Less teammwork spots than in similar matches, but the one on ones went smoother than usual. (The Lider/Angelico one exchange late in particular.) Daga and Suicide are working well together. Crowd was against the tecnicos, and really against Jack. Maybe the Perros attack after the opener was supposed to get the crowd against them, but that was definitely not going to take after their promo. Two talking segments with them in an half hour was asking a bit.
Jesus Zuniga handles this segment from the upper section of Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera
Taya (Luchadora), Garza Jr. (Revelacion), Rey Mysterio Jr. (Tecnico) and Pentagon (Luchador & Rudo) won the 2015 AAA awards
La Parka notes he’s won singles, tag and atomicos champions, but he’s missing the trios championship – that’s why he’s going for it.
Hijo del Fantasma says his team with Hijo del Pirata & Taurus is the perfect trio.
Hijo del Pirata says his family will be recognized as the best in lucha libre when he wins the trios title
La Secta says they’ll give people a lot to talk about
Psycho Clown is not thrilled with having Wagner as a partner, but they’ll beat the rudos.
Texano Jr. says he doesn’t care who he’s teaming with, he’ll defeat the rivals
Mesias notes it’s been a while since he’s had the Mega title and he wants it back
Zuniga reminds us Wagner turned on Rey last time we saw him.
Joe Lider calls Pentagon Jr., enraged that they’re not booked for Juan de la Barrera and they’re holding a #1 contenders match without them. Lider’s going to bring it to Konnan and Fantasma and Joaquin Roldan.
Averno & Chessman says their opponents are good, but they’re better.
Super Fly versus Aerostar from the 2014 Guerra de Titanes is shown.
Winner: Rudos (Espirtu legdrop Monster Clown)
Match Time: 9:09
Review: [ok] I kind of liked the idea of trio as a way to keep the Psycho Circus around while putting Psycho Clown in actual matches, but it’s not a great idea in practice. It’s a tecnico trio that either can’t do much or doesn’t do much. No one’s more practiced at being in the ring for three minutes and doing nothing than La parka. The rudos didn’t work together any special or add anything here, and this was a kind of boring affair covered up by a loud crowd.
