1) Policeman, Rey Apocalipsis, Toro Bill Jr. b Millenium, Rey Samuray, Tigre Rojo Jr.
12:48. Rudos took 1/3. Policeman and Tigre Rojo Jr. fell to the floor while trying a top rope move. Tigre Rojo was stretchered out with Policeman helped to the back (due to their not being two stretchers.)

3) Kráneo, Morphosis, Ripper b Ángel de Oro, Super Porky, Valiente
13:48. Invasors took 1/3 in the usual Super Porky special.
4) Máximo Sexy © b Vangellys [CMLL HEAVY]
13:57. Vangelis took the first, but Maximo rallied back to win falls two and three for his 5th defense
5) La Máscara, Marco Corleone, Rush b Euforia, Mr. Niebla, Thunder
8:44. Ingobernables took 1/3. Euforia and Thunder didn’t get along, with Euforia attacking Thunder to led to their loss.

There’s no update on Tigre Rojo or Policeman, which I hope means they’re doing OK. Maximo/Vangellys is worth watching. There was an issue in the crowd just off camera before the fifth match; this Twitter post suggests it had to do with a fan and security.

7:49. Fuego beat Tanaka.

8:01. Mima Shimoda was back with Okumura for the tour and got taken out by a Panther tope. Panther won with a nudo lagunero.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr. b Boby Zavala
6:18. Guerrero Maya may have broken out the sit down piledriver for the win.
4) David Finlay, Dragon Lee, Jyushin Thunder Liger, Titán b Bárbaro Cavernario, Hechicero, Virus, YOSHI-HASHI
9:01. Titan beat Hechicero with his figure four variant.

7) Kazuchika Okada, Mephisto, Shinsuke Nakamura b Hiroshi Tanahashi, Juice Robinson, Volador Jr.
15:21. Nakamura beat Juice Robinson with the Boma Ye.

Kind of surprised both the tecnico champions won the singles match, though maybe it’ll just go the other way tomorrow. There are highlights from the top matches of the previous show here.

Televisa and Sony Pictures announced a new series on the life of the original Blue Demon. The show is set for 65 hour long episodes, starting from when he was a child and following thru his career. The show will start filming in April, with no air date. It’s billed as the real life story, but it’s a TV show so probably not so much.

El Hijo del Santo has implied he was offered something like this in the past but would also want a lot of control about how his father would be portrayed (which might work better for a movie than an ongoing series.) It’ll be interesting to see how they portray the wrestling scenes. Programming from Televisa usually ends up on one of Univision’s stations in the US.

Tonight’s CMLL main event is Rey Bucanero, Felino, and Negro Casas against Maximo, Brazo de Plata and Valiente, which looks like an unnoteworthy match to get thru this period but perhaps will set up something new. (Bucanero’s gone a while without defending his title.) The important match on the card is the Copa Junior final between Puma and Esfinge. Puma should be the favorite based on performance, but they’ve been booked at the same level recently and Puma’s gotten a recent ciberneico win, so they may spread out the big wins to someone else. The Copa Junior hasn’t been a meaningful competition – they only seem to run it ever other year, with Maximo and Super Halcon Jr. winning the two different 2014 competitions – but there aren’t many big wins to get when you’re stuck in the CMLL midcard so this will mean something to the winner.

CMLL’s show tonight will be broadcast on CMLL.com (and probably thru YouTube.) It’s said to be for the Copa Junior, but it still seems surprising. It’s unclear if this is a one time thing, a trial run, or something else. The last Tuesday night stream to air was when they were trying out streaming software for the iPPV. It’s not an especially interesting card, but the Copa Junior match should be fun.

Lucha Memes announced their Chairo 3 show will take place on 03/06 in Arena Naucalpan with Mascara Dorada versus Extreme Tiger in a falls count anywhere match. MedioTiempo previews this weekend’s Memes Rumble.

There’s a little bit of card shuffling on Saturday’s Coliseo show. Blue Panther Jr. & Pegasso are now off. Super Halcon Jr. is added to take on Arkangel, Hombre Bala Jr. moved up to face Tiger and Magnus replaces the tecnico to face Canelo Casas.

I put together a list of all the lucha events for the next month in hopes people will not ask me what time a show is on. People will probably still ask.

+LuchaTV has highlights of the New Year’s Day Neza cage match where Bizarro lost his mask.

TKD writes about his experience going to Lucha Underground. No spoilers!

Hijo del Fantasma and Hijo del Pirata Morgan promo for Guerra de Titanes.

Aeroboy vs Black Terry is taking place on Sunday in Xalapa.

This just went up as I was finishing writing the post, so I’ll add it here. Pagano working Naucalpan after the Lucha Memes show. He might not be the only one. No idea who Metralla is, but he is teaming with Artillero.

CMLL (MON) 01/25/2016 Arena Puebla

2) Black Tiger, Starman, Tritón vs El Cuatrero, King Jaguar, Sansón

This is a show. The main event last night did not merit a rematch. Maybe the tercera will be good? This is the first time Cuatrero and Sanson will turn up in a stream. Nice to see Asutriano.
