CMLL (SUN) 01/10/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) Avispón Negro Jr. & Micro b Diplomático & Guerrero de la Muerte
Tecnicos took 1/3.
2) Nautilius b Relampago [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE, tournament]
first round match in a tournament for a vacant title
3) Omar Brunetti b Carlos Rogi [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE, tournament]

Debut of Cosmos, who go the win over Rey Trueno.

Both tecnicos advance (assuming I got that right.)

CMLL (TUE) 01/12/2016 Arena México [CMLL]
1) Robin & Sensei b Artillero & Cholo
2) Disturbio, Nitro, Okumura b Pegasso, Star Jr., Starman
Rudos took 1/3. Nitro won with the piledriver, as happens in every Nitro match.
3) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Titán b Boby Z, Hechicero, Virus
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Esfinge b The Panther, Tiger, Sansón, Soberano Jr., Canelo Casas, Súper Halcón Jr., Espanto Jr. [Copa Jr., semifinal]
Eliminations: Soberano (by Sanson), Espanto Jr. (Super Halcon Jr.), Canelo Casas (The Panther), Super Halcon (Tiger), Sanson (Esfinge), The Panther (Tiger), Tiger (Esfinge), leaving Esfinge as the winner. He faces Puma next week.
5) Máximo Sexy b Ripper
Maximo kissed both Ripper and Tirantes
6) Atlantis, Dragon Lee, Marco Corleone b Cavernario, Mephisto, Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 2/3.

Esfinge winning was not a surprise. I think Puma’s still the slight favorite. Sanson did end up lasting pretty long, which might indicate he and his brother are going to do well quickly.

In a post match interview from a few days ago, Thunder seems to think he and Ultimo Guerrero are doing their match in March, alludes vaguely at some issue with him and CMLL that was revolved. Both +Lucha and Thunder refer to Thunder as being “back”.

Today’s MLW Radio has the author of the Playboy article on Perro Aguayo Jr. They talk about the author at TripleMania, and mention the issues with Alberto and Myzteziz were so bad that metal detectors were installed for the luchadors to make sure Alberto or Myzteziz (or anyone else with them) didn’t have anything.

Vice wrote a Fray Tormenta story. It’s a good article, but you may feel like you’ve read it before.

RobViper has highlights of 07/14/15 CMLL.

Lucha Memes added Magnifico, Magnifico II and Magia Blanca (Magnifico I) versus Alas de Acero, Aramis and Iron Kid to their 01/24 show. That should be a fun match and it’s also hilarious to team up all three Magnificos.

Segunda Caida reviews Maximo versus Kamaitachi.

Virus is happy to go to Japan.

Scoria & Cuervo talk up their chances of winning the trios title match.

There’s a man in a mask in Mexico City pretending to be a super hero for pedestrians.

Lineups

CMLL Elite (SUN) 01/17/2016 Arena México
1) Principe Diamante & Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Olímpico & Pierrothito
2) Cancerbero & Raziel vs Centvrión & Metaleón
3) El Cuatrero & Sansón vs Argos & Karonte Jr. and Canelo Casas & Puma and Trauma I & Trauma II [Dinastia Elite, torneo]
4) Ángel de Oro, Golden Magic, Super Crazy vs Ephesto, Euforia, Felino
5) Carístico & Cibernético vs Negro Casas & Rush [Relevos Increíbles]

Negro Casas & Rush is a team that could be so great if they weren’t likely to kill each other.

The tournament in the third match is the first phase, so there’s at least another block of these going. Tiger is booked elsewhere and/or the Traumas were winning the block anyway.

Centvrion is making his Arena Mexico debut. I hope he and Metaleon can put aside the Mala Hierba/Lion Brothers feud to the side for one night or they have no chance against the Cancerberos.

CMLL (TUE) 01/19/2016 Arena México
1) Fantasy & Stukita vs Mercurio & Pequeño Nitro
2) Oro Jr., Soberano Jr., Star Jr. vs Cancerbero, Nitro, Raziel
3) La Vaquerita, Marcela, Silueta vs Amapola, La Comandante, Reyna Isis
4) Esfinge vs Puma [Copa Jr., final]
5) Blue Panther, Pegasso, Rey Cometa vs Pierroth, Pólvora, Vangellys
6) Máximo Sexy, Super Porky, Valiente vs Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero

Pegasso in the semimain = everyone’s out of town

Pegasso in the semimain = wait, why isn’t Esfinge/Puma the semimain?

Card would be better if the third and second matches were just swapped places, since the tecnicos in the segunda can do cool dives but not on that spot of the card. (Or they could just wave the restriction.)

CMLL (TUE) 01/19/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara

5) La Máscara, Marco Corleone, Rush vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Kráneo, Thunder

Ingobernables team two straight days.

6) Ángel de Oro & Stuka Jr. vs Aeroboy & Violento Jack vs Ángel o Demonio & Ovett
7) Miedo Extremo & Sharly Rockstar vs Cíclope & Super Mega

First show on the tour. Johnny Idolo is a New Zealand wrestler somehow ending up here.
