CMLL (TUE) 12/22/2015 Arena México
1) Akuma & Apocalipsis b Leono & Sensei
Added to the show on Saturday.
2) Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pierrothito b Astral, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito
Rudos took 2/3. Pierroth beat Astral
3) Disturbio, Okumura, Virus b Magnus, Metatrón, Oro Jr.
Oro replaced Soberano on Saturday. Rudos took 1/3.
4) Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr., The Panther DQ Hechicero, Mephisto, Misterioso Jr. Sangre Azteca
Hechicero & Misterioso replaced Epehsto & Luciferno on Saturday, then Sangre Azteca ended up in Misterioso’s spot on Tuesday. Tecnicos took 2/3. Mephisto fouled Maya for the DQ.
5) Dragón Rojo Jr. © b Titán [CMLL MIDDLE]
Dragon Rojo took 1/3, the last with a top rope stomp, to keep the title again. 13th defense. Dragon Rojo has reached 1496 days as champion, and will pass Satanico for longest time champion if he holds it on February 28 (1562 days).
6) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Thunder b La Máscara, Super Porky, Valiente
Thunder and Terrible replaced Felino & Vangellys on Saturday. Thunder defeated Valiente. Mascara didn’t get along with his partners.

It’s conceivable Rojo won’t defend the title again before March, so he may already have the record.

Tickets for AAA TV’s 01/22 taping at Guerra de Titanes will go on sale on Friday. They’re running from 185 up to 597 mexican pesos. ($10.77 to $34.75 USD). The Ticketmaster site lists the show as Guerra de Titanes. They didn’t mention that name on TV this past week, but maybe they will next week. No idea if it’s getting the same lineup as original show. Neither Rey nor Mundo are on the poster, but the poster looks like a filler graphic until they can announce the real lineup. (On the other hand, if they were just running the same card out, it would’ve been easier just to place a new date/location on the old art and send it in.)

I’d assume AAA is still running something called Guerra de Titanes in December. Calling this show Guerra de Titanes means they’re going to have two shows called “Guerra de Titanes 2016”. Short term thinking.

All of the FantasticaMania shows will air on TV in Japan, either on Samurai TV or TV Asahi. NJPW World hasn’t listed their broadcast schedule as of yet. (It’s worth reminding that NJPW World will charge you on the first of every month, no matter when you subscribe – if you’re thinking of subscribing for FantasticaMania or the 01/04 show, wait until the calendar turns over.)

Sharlie Rockstar ran in on a match in Cuernavaca on a three way with Pagano, Damian and Angel o Demonio, setting up a Pagano/Sharlie match on 01/14.

Lineups

CMLL ELITE (SUN) 12/27/2015 Arena México
1) Estrellita & La Vaquerita vs Amapola & Zeuxis
2) Emperador Azteca & Oro Jr. vs Karonte Jr. & Skándalo
3) Guerrero Maya Jr. & Rey Cometa vs Trauma I & Trauma II
4) Super Crazy vs Felino
5) Black Warrior, La Máscara, Rush vs Cibernético, Mephisto, Sharlie Rockstar
6) Carístico & Mistico vs El Cavernario & Negro Casas

An Elite show after all. Plans changed. At least it makes sense to me why Caristico & Mistico are together, and a tag team title match on one of these shows seems likely (if they can find Shocker.)

Black Warrior came to this promotion as a partner of Cibernetico, is now against him, there’s no explanation. Strong booking.

Tercera could be pretty good.

CMLL (TUE) 12/29/2015 Arena México
1) Flyer & Leono vs Akuma & Camorra
2) Starman vs Arkángel de la Muerte [lightning]
3) Astral, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito
4) Hombre Bala Jr., Oro Jr., Stigma vs El Cuatrero, Okumura, Sansón
5) Guerrero Maya Jr., Rey Cometa, Tritón vs Boby Z, Pierroth, Sagrado
6) La Máscara, Máximo Sexy, Stuka Jr. vs Kráneo, Mephisto, Ripper

In more changed plans, Cuatrero and Sanson are debuting a week before they were supposed to start.

It’s strange Arkangel and Starman are in the segunda for a lightning match; that’s usually only done when it’s a couple of rookies. Based on last night’s finish, it looks it’s being done here because Astral’s defending the minis title as the 01/05 (almost Kid’s Day) big match. CMLL could put one of the apuesta matches also on that show, but that’s not what they’ve done of late.

(And there’s a good chance 01/01 and 01/05 will be better shows than 12/25.)

CMLL (TUE) 12/29/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Magnum & Nautilius vs Joker & Sádico
2) Pegasso, Star Jr., Súper Halcón Jr. vs Hijo del Signo, Sangre Azteca, Virus
3) Zeuxis © vs Lluvia [MEX WOMEN]
Zeuxis’s third defense
4) Blue Panther, Esfinge, Titán vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys
5) Atlantis, Super Porky, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla

I guessed right on Zeuxis/Lluvia! It’s good to have something in this section correct. Actually hoping it turns up on YouTube.

ILLM (SUN) 01/17/2016 Salón Citlalli, Ecatepec, Estado de México
1) Rayo Star vs Arceues
2) Ancla & Lady Marvilla vs Moria & Sanely
3) Wotam vs Teremoto Negro Jr.
4) Corsario Negro Jr. & Felina Metalica vs Keira & Toxin Boy
5) Arez vs Sharlie Rockstar vs Fly Warrior

The Sharlie Rockstar return tour continues.

  1. I see AAA are already off to a fantastic start. Atleast lucha underground cannot be fucked up.
