Kamaitachi wins!

Recapped: 11/27/2015

What happened: a Negro Casas fouled Super Parka in the main event, which led to singles match challenges. In more promising news, Kamaitachi defeated Dragon Lee to set up a title match next week. Super Comando also lost by DQ to The Panther. Panther wants a mask match, Comando says Panther needs to proof himself.

What was good:  a Dragon Lee & Kamaitachi was great, at always. Second match and fifth match were good.

Where can I watch it:  The main matches will air on Azteca in two or three weeks. It’ll be up on my YouTube channel on Tuesday.

Aerostar thought his dives weren’t tricky enough so

Recapped: 11/21/2015

What happened: Pentagon attacked Jack and challenged for a title rematch. Australian Suicide attacked Daga, in retaliation for an attack prior to the show.

This is the start of a lot of backstage turmoil spilling out into world, though none of it is directly referenced on screen. Elsewhere, Mistico I returned to Arena Mexico the same night, and this is the first show with him sort of not around. This also turns out to be Alberto’s last night, as he returns to WWE before his next scheduled TV appearance. Mundo’s interview –  naming Rey and the title but not naming Alberto – is the only sign that something’s changed. (It looks like something taped at a later show and added back into this one, and it also suggests the one on one match was a possible plan for a while, even though a tournament would be brought up elsewhere.)

Argos is also making his last appearance, seemingly quitting AAA twice in route to ending up in Elite with his brother. (Argenis would end up staying.) This also might be the end of Maravilla’s two match run; she turned up in DTU wrestling Marcela soon after and hasn’t been on AAA shows since.

What was good: The entire show was generally an easy watch, with the second, third and fifth matches being the best

Where can I watch it: It’s on my YouTube channel, and it’s also now AAA’s YouTube channel.

Previously: Taya kept her women’s title, Jack & Angelico got the tag titles back, Fenix and Mesias faced off, Taurus won Copa Antonio Pena, Garza debuted, and Alberto kept his title. Read More

Tonight’s CMLL show has Mistico, Super Parka, Volador Jr. versus Felino, Negro Casas, and Shocker as the main event. Casas & Shocker are still the tag champs, and both Mistico/Volador and Volador/Parka would make some sense as challengers. There’s no other big issues on the card, just some hope the simmering ones will actually go somewhere. Dragon Lee takes on Kamaitachi in the lightning match, probably the best match on the night and something that might set up another big match between them in the next couple months. The Panther and Super Comando face off in a second match trios again.

The show will start at 8:30pm. ClaroSports has the countdown timer up, so it will not be region blocked.

The Que Viva el Rey tour has it’s final two shows this weekend, tonight in Merida and tomorrow in Cancun. Your guess is as good as mine about who will be there: Moose says his trip got canceled, Ricochet said he’s not the Prince Puma on the show. I’d suspect that a few of the foreigners are being canceled (and replaced with cheaper AAA wrestlers) in attempt to save some money after how bad the previous shows have done.
