Mephisto beats Dragon Lee, Myzteziz in Guadalajara, ColiseoMania, Alberto

ColiseoMania III (SUN) 10/11/2015 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [LuchaMania Monterrey]
1) Titanik b Harry El Sucio, Dragon Imperial
2) Bestia I & Bestia Ii b Arkángel de la Muerte & Estrella Gris
3) El Divo, Mini Hator, Obsesión b Galactar, Mini Difunto, Psicótico
4) Rico Rodríguez b Gemelo Muerte, Gato Fantasma, Baby Chavez, Silver Fly, Misionero [LyC CRUISER]
Champion was Epydemius, but he’s out possibly two months with an ear injury. Laredo Kid didn’t appear, so all sort of people were added for Rico to beat and win the title.
5) Silver King NC Humberto Garza Jr. [loser must retire]
match was a brawl with two referees being knocked down. The doctor stopped the match (something not ever done in Mexico). Both wrestlers left on their feet, showing the match didn’t need to be stopped. Crowd was not happy and chanted fraude.
6) Silver King Jr. L Dr. Wagner Jr., Garza Jr., Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Ultimo Ninja, Ninja Jr. [cage, mask, hair]
Hijo del Ninja has switched to Garza Jr. here as well. Ninja Jr. was teh first out, leaving his family to get brutalized by the Wagners. Garza Jr. bled a lot. Match came down to Garza Jr. and Silver King Jr., Garza Jr. giving SKJ a martinete and escaping. Silver King Jr. wasn’t moving after the piledriver, but they were slow to check him out. They took off his mask and announced him as Felipe Garcia Gonzalez from Matamoros, Coahuila, 5 years a wrestler, but rushed him to the back and he didn’t do post match interviews (claiming the injury.)

Going to go out on a limb and guess we’ll never see Silver King Jr. wrestle a match unmasked. This show will either never ever air on Multimedios or the same match will air every other week for the next year.

CMLL (TUE) 10/13/2015 Arena México [CMLL]
1) Flyer & Sensei b Cholo & Espanto Jr.
2) Astral, Eléctrico, Fantasy b Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico
3) La Seductora, Reyna Isis, Zeuxis b Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit, Skadi
Zeuxis pulled off Sugehit’s mask in the first fall for the DQ, then Sugehit took fall 2. Sugehit demanded a title match next week.
4) Fuego, The Panther, Tritón b Disturbio, Hechicero, Okumura
The Panther replaced Delta and submitted Hechicero for the win.
5) Rey Cometa, Super Porky, Titán b Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla
6) Mephisto b Dragon Lee

Promising tecnico loses to veteran who’s going no place seems not to be a great idea. Dragon Lee doesn’t need to be everyone at this very moment, but maybe don’t put him in matches where he’s going to lose unless there’s a bigger plan. The only plan here seemed to be come up with a name main event this week and whoever was in charge thought this was the two biggest names they could use. CMLL is all short term thinking.

Myzteziz appeared in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara last night. There’s no video, but it sounds like it was generally the same speech as in Arena Mexico (setting up an Elite Lucha Libre show there as well, though no date seems to be announced.) Shocker & Negro Casas apparently kept the tag titles in the main event.

R de Rudo looks back at Myzetziz’s AAA run.

Alberto el Patron (and Hijo de Dos Caras) were scheduled to work in Germany and Switzerland for wXw this weekend. Alberto will not be doing that. (Presumably neither will Hijo de Dos, but I’m not sure anyone cares.) wXw says Alberto demanded they upgrade his seat to business class at the last moment, which would’ve cost them $7,000. The promotion, which said they had screen shots of Alberto agreeing to economy long ago, obviously didn’t want to pay that upgrade and things fell apart from there. Alberto disagreed with the story by saying it was true, he demanded to be upgraded to business class, but that’s his demand from all promoters and they should’ve know that from the start. He also says wXw was being shady by not sending him full itinerary information while also implying the screenshots and emails wXw claims to have are all made up (so he’s upset about not getting information while claiming the information they had was false.)

My uninformed hunch, just from how it’s explained by both sides, is wXw booked this flight long ago, sent to Alberto and/or his people long ago, no one took close enough look at it, and it wasn’t until recently that they realized it was economy and not business. Alberto refers to having management who takes care of these issues for him; he probably should’ve let management take care of the statement explaining why he wasn’t going to the show (or at least let someone read it over.) It’s going for a ‘standing up for wrestler’s rights’ thing, but not coming off well. wXw brings in lots of international people, including Ricky Marvin and Super Crazy a few times in the past, and doesn’t seem to have many problems outside of Alberto.

Marcela is part of a “scouting tryout” on 10/24 in New York’s WUW promotion. The idea that CMLL would give a job to a outsider, just based on Marcela’s recommendation, seems more absurd than Alberto’s explanation. Even the most talented people are forced to train in one of CMLL’s classes for months without getting work before they might get a spot. Marcela likely could give good advice and tell someone if it’s worth their time to take the chance of moving to Mexico City for six months, but that’s about the limit. (Maybe REINA would give someone a spot.) Also, the person who just took a undeserved shot at Dark Angel for being “a foreigner who was just using Mexico to get a job elsewhere” seemingly recruiting foreigners to do exactly that is kind of crazy.

CMLL’s Puebla recap explains Tirantes didn’t DQ Lestat for pulling of Molotov’s mask because he ruled it was an accident. It more looked like Tirantes  froze. They also give Mephisto credit for tying Volador to the ropes. I dunno, maybe Mephisto hypnotized the doctor into doing it.

El Hijo del Santo is promoting Friday’s show in Puebla as his final appearance there.

Rayo Star is said to have suffered a knee injury in a title match in San Luis Potosi on Sunday.

Mirage won The Crash junior championship in Tijauana.

Looks like RIOT’s next show is November 14th.

Damian 666 says he’s happy he and Bestia 666 are coming to Arnea Mexico, has no problems with CMLL and would be open to returning ot the promotion.

Blue Monsther, my favorite MMA fighter/IWRG trainee , is an outdoor vendor under a bridge.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Segunda Caida watches Blue Panther versus Negro Casas.

Princesa Blanca will be honored on 10/25 in San Luis Potosi.

Lineups

3) Esfinge, Fuego, Pegasso vs Puma, Tiger, Virus

5) Ángel de Oro, Dragon Lee, Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
6) Super Porky, Titán, Volador Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero

Titan & Super Porky should just go for the tag titles at this point. Title match might be fun.

CMLL (TUE) 10/20/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara

2) Hombre Bala Jr., Magnum, Súper Halcón Jr. vs Cancerbero, El Chakal, Raziel

5) Atlantis, Mistico, Valiente vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Not an appealing show.

Lucha Memes (SUN) 10/25/2015 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Zona 23 I, Zona 23 II, Zona 23 III vs Indio Makawi, Jasson, Super X
2) Demasiado vs Juana La Loca, Diva Salvaje [War City Exotico]
3) Alas de Acero & Iron Kid vs Atomic Star & Super Mega
4) Keira & Rocky Lobo vs Ciber Punk & Garrobo Punk
5) Disturbio vs El Hijo del Diablo
6) Black Terry vs Belial
7) Decnnis & Toscano vs Arez & Impulso
8) Aramis vs Dragon Lee (CMLL)

This started out as a ChilangaMask show, but now it’s a Lucha Memes one and Lucha Memes has left ChilangaMask. The deal, as I understood it, is there were two people in charge and they were taking turns running shows. Now they’re just not going to have to take turns.

Aramis versus Dragon Lee should be great. Black Terry continues to fight his way thru every single person on the indies. (or, more likely, every kid on the indies really wants to have a match with Black Terry.)
