everyone onto Metalico

Review: [ok] Average Puebla opener, which still a little bit better than a Puebla opener. Tiger Rojo Jr. and Zaeta Roja show promise, need work, probably should be a red themed tag team. Star Jr. looked the best of his team and got over the most. The idea that the rudos were just far ahead of the novice tecnicos at the end worked well, even if it wasn’t actually a plan.

Match 2: Dark Angel, Estrellita, Lluvia vs Amapola, Dalys, Tiffany
Arena Puebla, 08/17/2015

  1. tecnicas
    • Lluvia casadora cradle Dalys (5:28)
    • Estrellita casadora cradle Tiffany (5:35)
  2. rudas
    • Tiffany short powerbomb Dalys (3:20)
    • Dalys scorpion Lluvia (3:48)
  3. tecnicas
    • Amapola Devil’s Wings Dark Angel (4:41)

Winner: tecnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 14:04

Amapola pretty good at countering a reinera

Review: [below average] Tiffany had a bad night by her standards and there wasn’t a lot to recommend the match. It went longer than it needed to and didn’t have a lot of good spots. Amapola destroyed Dark Angel on the finish.

Match 3: Blue Panther Jr., Rey Cometa, The Panther vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
Arena Puebla, 08/17/2015

  1. Cancerberos
    • Raziel assisted spinning splash on The Panther (8:43)
    • Virus arm trap/half crab Rey Cometa (8:58)
  2. tecnicos
    • The Panther springboard dropkick Virus (4:04)
  3. Cancerberos
    • Virus half crab/armbar The Panther (2:36)
    • Cancerbero/Raziel tapatia/neckbreaker Rey Cometa (3:02)

Winner: Cancerberos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:04

Virus is good

Review: [good] The Panther/Virus interaction pretty much made the match on it’s own, with Panther again keeping up with Virus whenever he gets the chance. (He doesn’t get enough chance.) The Cancerberos won pretty dominant in the end, and worked hard before it. Rey Cometa didn’t get a lot to do, did the simple stuff okay, but it still doesn’t feel like he’s gone all out since he’s been back.

Match 4: La Máscara, Máximo, Super Porky vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Ripper
Arena Puebla, 08/17/2015

  1. tecnicos
    • Mascara campana Olimpico (4:07)
  2. Invasors
    • Mije splash La Mascara (4:15)
  3. tecnicos
    • Super Porky sit Ripper (2:52)

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 11:14
Review: [OK] every Super Porky/Mascara/Maximo match ever. It’s just about all the same spots in the same order, with a crowd that wasn’t into it as most but still decently into it. It’s very repetitive, it gets a reaction, it’s not something you need to see because there will be another one coming along soon.

Match 5: Atlantis, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
Arena Puebla, 08/17/2015

  1. Hijos del Iniferno
    • Mephisto Devil’s Wings Atlantis (3:19)
    • Luciferno standing figure four Volador Jr. (3:25)
  2. tecniocos
    • Mistico boosted huracanrana Luciferno (1:52)
    • Volador front cracker Ephesto (1:54)
  3. tecnicos
    • Atlantinda on Mephisto (4:08)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:27
Notes: Atlantis challenged Mephisto for a title match next week. Mephisto accepted.

Review: [OK] a perfunctory match to set up a main event next week on a perfunctory show. It definitely happened, they definitely set up the match, and none of was memorable in the least. I got distracted in the third fall by trivial matters and don’t feel like I missed out. If the goal was to get this show done in two hours, they achieved their goal.

Ephesto stumbles around for a backcracker that’s not coming
