09/20 AAA TV Results (Monterrey)

AAA TV (SUN) 09/20/2015 Arena Jose Sulaiman, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon [AAA]
1) Dinastía, Goya Kong, Pimpinela Escarlata b Lady Shani, Mamba, Mini Charly Manson
The debuting Lady Shani was the mystery woman on the rudo side. She starts 0-1.
2) Aerostar, Argenis, Drago b Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria, Machine Rocker
Drago pinned Machine. Brian Cage attacked the tecnicos post match, going after Drago to build towards their match at Heroes Inmortales
3) Daga & Steve Pain b Angélico & Jack Evans and Joe Lider & Pentagón Jr.
Prior to this match, Konnan appeared to make three announcements. La Sociedad were bringing in Johnny Mundo to win the Mega title back for the group from Alberto. They were going to help Taya keep the women’s title. And, third, Konnan was stepping down from leading the group and handing it over to Fantasma. This match saw Daga & Pain beat Lider & Pentagon as setup for a rematch at Heroes Inmortales
4) Cibernético, Hijo del Fantasma, Texano Jr. b Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, La Parka
La Parka switched with Psycho Clwon. Cibernetico top rope splashed Monsther. Texano attacked Monsther with the lasso after the match.
5) Psycho Clown & Rey Mysterio Jr. b Brian Cage & Myzteziz
Psycho Clown switched with La Parka. Drago blinded Cage with mist, setting up a Rey victory. Cage & Myzteziz beat up the tecnicos after the match, taking their masks.

Air Date: 10/03

It’s the return of the One Taping Where Everything Happens. AAA’s hand was forced by having by either choosing or being unable to do anything during the vacation taping, but pretty much all the matches for Heroes Inmortales are being strongly pushed for the first time on the show airing a day before the show. We still haven’t heard if the show is airing on iPPV, so that may be a moot point. Alberto appearing in his home town in a title match is what’s selling this show locally anyway.

AAA gave a reason for the Drago/Fenix versus Cage/Mesias match to happen after they announced it. It’s not the best order but it was better than the nothing they had before.

Daga & Steve Pain getting the pin here suggests they’re not getting it when they redo the match at Heroes Inmortales. That team, Pentagon & Lider and even Cuervo & Scoria have all gotten wins in these three way tag matches, but Jack and Angelico have not. (No wonder Jack hates them!)

Fantasma taking over La Sociedad is something to watch, if they go through with it. They’ve lacked an in-ring leader since Perro died, and Fantasma has lacked much to do since about the same time.

“Shani” is a Hindu god. Shani means ‘slow moving one’, which hopefully isn’t the case here. She’s probably one of the mystery women on the Heroes Inmortales card, though nothing was said. She could be someone new, she could be Sexy Lady or La Jarochita or someone else only working the spots shows being given a new character.

Next taping is Heroes Inmortales, on 10/04.

  1. So what’s the deal with Cage? Did he sign a one year contract or something or are they just paying him per appearance at this point?

  2. I don’t know about contracts, but I think they just like him and are trying to find a role for him post the Alberto feud (that’s not just losing again.)
