As expected, similar to the Cancun taping. Perros del Mal get their wins back. It sounds like La Hiedra might have gotten the direct win in the women’s match, which would be the only surprise. The AAA pictures of the luchadors partying before the show at the resort (some seen on the Gladiador results) are more interesting than the results. They seemed to announce they’ll be back here next year as usual.

AAA TV announced a 10/09 taping in Tlahuelilpan, Hidalgo; that’s the missing taping I thought was prior to Heroes Inmortales is actually after it. The only air date that change is Heroes Inmortales starts airing on 10/10, six days after the event takes places. It’s a really quick turn around for a major show (so I’m still a little suspicious there’s some Teleton pre-emption or other skip week coming.)

Also, Heroes Inmortales is three weeks away and zero matches have been announced on TV tapings; they’ve pushed Alberto will be there and not a lot more. This specific taping airs eight days before the show, so any significant build up angle probably needed to be done by now, and all they’ve done is maybe set up a tag team title match. If one of the problems with TripleMania was not building up the matches on TV, that doesn’t appear to have been fixed at all this time around. It may still mean the TV is good – the Tehuacan shows were the best taping of the year and roughly one million times better than TripleMania – but it’s a positive thing they’re (apparently) not trying to sell Heroes Inmortales on PPV.

Next taping is next Sunday in Monterrey.
