CMLL results and lineups, LA Park, Arena Queretaro, ChilangaMask

CMLL (SUN) 09/06/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Furia Roja, Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno b El Divino, Frezzer, Leo
Leo replaced Virgo
2) Chica Tormenta & La Pantera DQ Mystique & Súper Estrella
Kendra & Silueta were advertised, but neither appeared. This was Super Estrella’s first match in the building in 20 years, and she via trick when Chik Tormenta threw her mask to draw the DQ.
3) Atlantis, Omar Brunetti, Vaquero Jr. b Joker, Satánico, Último Guerrero
Card seems shuffled from this point. Ultimo Guerrero, Atlantis and Vaquero replaced Barbaro Cavernario, Gallo and Esfinge and this was moved down a spot (so probably Atlantis & UG had some place else to be.) Tecnicos got the win.
4) Magnum, Nautilius, Pepe Aguayo b Exterminador, Maléfico, Ráfaga
Pepe is maybe a tecnico again?
5) Blue Panther, Gallo, Máximo, Mistico b Bárbaro Cavernario, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla, Thunder
Gallo & Barbaro Cavernario replaced Atlantis & Uitimo Guerrero. Mistica on Mephisto for the win.

They had people in the upper level (or at least one of side of it), so this was a better than usual draw for the special noon charity show with bigger names than usual on a Sunday. They’re back to normal this week.

CMLL (MON) 09/07/2015 Arena Puebla [CMLL]
1) Espanto Jr., Guerrero Espacial, Metálico b Black Tiger, Robin, Zaeta Roja
2) Lestat, Molotov, Tigre Rojo Jr. b King Jaguar, Rey Apocalipsis, Toro Bill Jr.
3) Marcela © b Zeuxis [CMLL WOMEN]
Marcela second defense.
4) Kamaitachi, Misterioso Jr., Sagrado b Blue Panther Jr., Dragon Lee, Esfinge
Blue Panther Jr. replaced Blue Panther.
5) Rey Bucanero, Rey Escorpión, Vangellys DQ Atlantis, Mistico, Titán
Escorpion fouled Mistico.
6) Mr. Niebla DQ La Máscara
Niebla tossed his mask to Mascara for the DQ.

I posted a whole recap of this within hours of the show. It’s apparently a thing I’m doing? Except probably not the next two weeks because of travel and maybe I’ll forget about it. Anyway, watch Rey Apocalispis & Toro Bill be awesome and not much yet.

LA Park may be RT-ing things, but he didn’t want to comment on his departure from CMLL, telling KronoSport to ask CMLL instead. LA Park has ripped promotions upon leaving them in the past, so not doing here suggests there’s at least a shot they’ll be back together.

In other Parka family news: Flyer hasn’t been around much and won’t be around more – he’s also off Friday’s show, with Magnus in his place.

Today’s CMLL show has the Hijos del Infierno teaming up against Maximo, Valiente and Dragon Lee. Astral defends his title against Mercurio for no reason anyone can come up with; it should be a good match and it’ll probably be an Astral win.

Guadalajara has Mr. Niebla versus Marco Corleone. They booked Mr. Niebla back to back days in singles matches. I have no idea how anything works. Dark Angel finishes up in that building in a trios match. AAA has a spot show in Arena Aficion (so we might see some results.)

The La Hurracarrana column mentions local rumors of Arena Queretaro being shut down in November. The building was being run by Carlos Maynez prior to his passing. Events being scheduled for that building have been canceled, events which normally would be there are being held elsewhere. An AAA show was advertised to be coming to the building, but there’s been no word of it late. Our group went to Arena Queretaro last year. The building still seemed to be a good wrestling venue and it was a good lineup, but the show didn’t draw well. There’s been a decent amount of shows there this year, including the Dance Boy/Ursus mask match a month ago.

Dr. Wagner is still working AAA shows, including headlining a show in Chiapas this weekend. He should have all right to do that if he’s really an independent.

LuchaWorld has Poster-Mania for the weekKrisZ’s lucha report and results from the FPW show from Sunday

Box Y Lucha has Dark Angel on the cover for the second straight week.

Black Terry Jr. has photos from IWRG’s Sunday show.

El Manana has a good interview with Reynosa standout Rey Astral, who’s 21 and has been wrestling since 8. He’s the son of Super Chucky, who encouraged Astral to create his own name instead of being a hijo/junior. He’s hoping to be part of the AAA taping in Reynosa on 10/17, because he’s been told Rey Misterio will be on that show. Rey Astral last met Rey Mysterio when he was three years old, when Mysterio beat Super Chucky for his mask. (That’d be around 1997 – we have no record of the mask win but it’s believable.)

This week’s Super Libre had Mr. Niebla as guest.

Omar Brunetti says he’s preparing for his mask match with Metalico, is happy to have teamed with his brother (context Dark Fire is the brother.)

Atlantis says he’s had no fractures or surgeries in 33 years of wrestling, hope he doesn’t get hurt in the next 10 days. CMLL hopes so too.

The boxing and lucha libre commissioner of Quintana Roo wants the commission to find a home for those events in Cancun. This reads to be more a boxing concern.

Mascarita Año 2000 is a big fan of self help book El Camino a la Felicidad.

Lineup

CMLL (SAT) 09/12/2015 Arena Coliseo
1) Acero vs Pequeño Olímpico
2) Star Jr. vs Camorra
3) Sensei vs Inquisidor
4) Hombre Bala Jr. vs Cancerbero
5) Fuego vs Sangre Azteca
6) Delta & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Puma & Tiger
7) La Máscara, Máximo, Mistico vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Felino, Shocker

They appear to be saving Mascara & Dragon for the 19th. I don’t think I’m going to make that one. Puma & Tiger versus Delta & Maya seems pretty promising.

CMLL (SUN) 09/13/2015 Arena México
1) Aéreo & Fantasy vs Pequeño Nitro & Pequeño Universo 2000
2) Oro Jr., Soberano Jr., Súper Halcón Jr. vs Akuma, Espanto Jr., Metálico
3) Estrellita, Princesa Sugehit, Skadi vs La Comandante, La Seductora, Tiffany
4) Tritón vs Disturbio [lightning]
5) Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Stuka Jr. vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
6) Atlantis, Máximo, Mistico vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Último Guerrero

Nothing seems to be teased for a 09/20 show, but they can always make something up at the last second.

CMLL (SUN) 09/13/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Avispón Negro Jr. & Micro vs Destructor & Quca
2) El Tapatío & Star Black vs Mercenario & Mr. Brisa
3) El Divino, Explosivo, Reycko vs El Chakal, Gran Kenut, Relampago
4) Chica Tormenta & Silueta vs La Pantera & Súper Estrella
Silueta replaced Kendra (and sides were changed around) on Tuesday.
5) Neutrón, Omar Brunetti, Vaquero Jr. vs Joker, Sádico, Satánico
Satanico replaced Rafaga, Omar Brunetti replaced Magnum on Tuesday.

Kendra missed her match this past Sunday so her sub wasn’t a surprise. I can’t figure out the sides here, except maybe they’re setting up another Tormenta/Silueta title match.

CMLL (MON) 09/14/2015 Arena Puebla
1) Astral, Asturiano, Eléctrico vs Espíritu Maligno, Pierrothito, Saurón
2) Molotov, Starman, Tigre Rojo Jr. vs Fuerza Chicana, King Jaguar, Policeman
3) Dark Angel vs Princesa Sugehit [lightning]
4) Blue Panther, Rey Cometa, Super Porky vs Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado
5) Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr., Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora
6) Atlantis, Mistico, Titán vs Rey Bucanero, Rey Escorpión, Terrible

Dark Angel’s final match in Arena Puebla and/or a practice run for Friday.

Seems like Mistico/Rey Escorpion is being held off for 09/21, which may be important for the person who is writing this sentence.

CHILANGA MASK (SUN) 09/20/2015 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Aramis vs Garrobo Punk
2) Dr. Cerebro vs Sangre Azteca
3) Ultimo Ninja vs Hechicero (CMLL)
4) Solar I vs Fuego (CMLL)
5) Rey Horus vs Kamaitachi
6) Caifan vs Último Guerrero

All singles matches, all CMLL versus indy guys except for the opener. Rey Horus versus the greatest man alive sold me even if nothing else worked out. (Someone needs to be selling Kamaitachi t-shirts or throwing blades or something.)

Hechicero has a small many to throw around. It’ll be interesting to see if/how Fuego and Sangre Azteca change from their CMLL routines against different opponents. I don’t think Caifan can win the main event but it would be so great if he did.

One thought to “CMLL results and lineups, LA Park, Arena Queretaro, ChilangaMask”

  1. Is it too much to hope for that the Park thing is a storyline designed for him to in a group of indy guys as a.”disgruntled” wrestler.

    Yes probably too much
