Freelance’s first IWRG match since 2013. Pantera (II) may be known as Internacional Pantera now. Suicida hit the referee by mistake twice, earning the DQ on the second one.

battle royal rules. Winner gets a shot at the Rey de Reyes or a title shot against the champion of their division. Match came down to Shu el Guerrero (in his first IWRG appearance since 2011) & X-Fly, with X-Fly winning. He challenged Hijo de Dos Caras for the heavyweight title next week.

X-Fly is on a winning streak and going for the title. Doesn’t get bigger than that.

Today’s Puebla show has two singles matches. National champion Zeuxis challenges Marcela for the world championship in what’s nearly a two women Universal tournament. The outcome is not in doubt, but it’s one of CMLL’s best possible women’s singles matches and a treat after last week’s lackluster show.

(Reina International Juniors champion Silueta is the only other women’s champion – at least for now, she’s got a surprising title defense against Keira on Wednesday.)

The other singles match is La Mascara versus Mr. Niebla, which should at least be memorable. Maybe they’ll break out the casita driver again. The locals are back on this week’s show, including the Rey Apocalipsis/Toro Bill Jr. team. Show starts at 9pm CT, and will air on YouTube as usual.

Yoruba & Kilvan talk about their upcoming trip to Kageki Pro Wrestling in Japan. The promotion’s website lists them on 09/19 and 09/23 shows.

Ultimo Guerrero is already defending his newly won NWA middleweight title, against Piloto Suicida in Arena Olimpcio Laguna this Thursday.

Segunda Caida reviews Hijo del Santo, Misterioso, Ultimo Dragon vs Emilio Charles JR., Fuerza Guerrera, La Fiera.

  1. Someone thinks X-Fly will draw a gate against Hijo de Dos?

Well at least we know it won’t be a good match. Looking at the pictures Hijo looks more tatted up and out of shape, i mean why else wrestle in a t-shirt. Hijo should get a full body tattoo of Virus, at least he would LOOK like a great wrestler, i guess that is as.close as he would get.
