Review: [OK] Decent women’s match, could argue rating it higher. The interaction between Vaquerita and Amapola was fun, with Vaquerita surprising Amapola (and the other rudas) with a casita and nearly doing it again in the third fall before Amapola put her down. That’d be a neat story to continue in other matches, if things actually carried over into other matches. Skadi still seems like she’s wrestling in training class than a real match, she fell down a beat too late taking moves multiple times, and using all of her mom’s moves in the same match as her mom is still weird. Skadi didn’t get hurt and didn’t hurt anyone, so it’s a success.

Review: [ok] Teases of a better match, with Hechicero & Maya working against each other a lot. Dragon Rojo also appeared to be feuding with Delta at the start, but it seemed later that he was just fired up to fight pretty much anyone and generally be irritating. Rey Escorpion was the other way, taking Fuego’s big dive but mostly taking this night off. The stereo moonsaults at the end were nicely done, but this one never got to a high level.

Review: [ok] There some superb Titan & Cavernario stuff, especially to start the first fall, but this had a lot of overly familiar Peste Negra & La Mascara comedy. Mr. Niebla looked sober at least, which was nice. La Mascara is adding a dance spot, which is not nice. Mascara’s superkick to Negro Casas at the end looked brutal.

Review: [good] This file came up as forty minutes, which filled me with dread. Less about the match, and more that the file got messed up somewhere along the way. It seems like the file was mostly OK (there was an occasionally slow down or frame drop) and some of the length was due to a long post match celebration shown, but mostly these two just had one of the longer matches in recent CMLL. The anniversary matches and some ciberneticos are longer, but it feels like the longest Tuesday singles match in memory. They kind of needed that time, because it felt like it took about ten minutes of match time (and sixteen of real time) for them to break out every single Angel de Oro match ever. Angel de Oro turned out to have more varied offense when he was pressed into using it, with the stunner/superkick/backcracker spot looking like something that was part of his routine in a good way. The Ultimo Guerrero top rope tribute spots were strange, but the idea of Pólvora escaping out of it to set up a dropkick was neat. Angel de Oro escaping the Super Pólvora Driver looked sloppy, but the dropkick that followed it was sharp. (The less salvageable spot was the repeated clothesline/superkick exchange, where it wasn’t ever clear if Angel de Oro was dropping under the clothesline or just not selling them.) Pólvora did not completely recreate his singles match magic and his mecedora was not so good, but they got more out of this match than it looked on paper. The negative is how long it took to get that good, and this was one where it was more about how many moves (and kickouts they did) than the quality of the exchanges.
