Vaquerita tope con giro

Review: [good] probably better on TV than it was live, since there were definite edits. They cut out most of the match prior to the first elimination, and there was an awkwardly long crowd shot prior to Tiffany’s elimination. What was saw was mostly positive, and they worked hard. The last four minutes between Dark Angel and Dallys were the clearest example: they tried a lot of stuff, not all of it looked great, but they were able to recover when things weren’t going quite right (and Dallys held up from dropping Dark Angel on her head.) Not to say there weren’t some bad moments that made it thru – Seductora missed a dropkick to an amazing degree and every time Skadi steps in the ring is a concerning moment – and the last few minutes before the final two descending in to partner attacking partner chaos. It otherwise a usual cibernetico as the go; a lot of action and victories are a formula for a good match, and you end up being slightly unhappy with who left the match in what order. There was no real story to the match outside of Dallys getting the big win as a career maker (which I’m not sure it does alone), but it accomplished what it set out to do.

Match 2: Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. vs La Sombra, Rey Escorpión, Thunder in a relevos increíbles match

Arena México, 07/10/2015

  1. Team Guerrero
    • Volador & Gran Guerrero superplex Thunder (6:22)
    • Gran Guerrero Pulpo Guerrero Sombra (6:34)
  2. Team Guerrero
    • DQ Rey Escorpion [Dragon Rojo Jr. and Pólvora interference] (6:35)

Winner: Team Guerrero (2-0)
Match Time: 13:09
Notes: Ultimo Guerrero gives Rey Escorpion the Guerrero Special and puts him in the Pulpo Guerrero for the certain win at the end of the second fall but Dragon Rojo and Pólvora run in to break it up for the DQ. Thunder starts to leave but someone tells him to come back. Sombra just vanishes, but Volador sticks around to help the técnicos

Rey Escorpion beats down Ultimo Guerrero

Review: [ok] Such a weird finish: Ultimo Guerrero has Rey Escorpion beat totally clean leading into their hair match. It’s only no clean because the rudos ran in, but there’s no question about who’s the better man (and it’s not like the interference set up anything else down the line.) Like last week, this was totally focused on the Ultimo Guerrero feud and the Sombra/Volador face offs got as much interest or more. Thunder was worse this week, hilariously rolling right in Ultimo Guerrero’s way during his big comeback. Having Gran Guerrero and Thunder work together seemed like playing with fire, and I’d guess we missed some more comedy. (There were Sombra & Volador spots cut out but shown in the ending video package, again.) Gran Guerrero submitting La Sombra makes me irrationally angry. (Also, Sombra’s been a jerk to people for months but he’s really going to play nice with the Guerreors? C’mon.)
