FdT vs Ingobernables, everyone vs Atlantis, Oficials strike back, TripleMania apology

CMLL (SUN) 08/09/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) El Cuatrero, Forastero, Sansón b Draego, Metaleón, Omar Brunetti
Metaleon replaced IWRG’s Emperador Azteca. Sanson beat Brunetti. Rudos beat up tecnicos after the match until Nautilius made the save.
2) Mystique & Silueta b Chik Tormenta & Zeuxis
3) Bestia 666, Pepe Aguayo, X-Fly b Emperador Azteca (IWRG), Gallo, Rayman
Emperador Azteca replaced Golden Magic. Pepe snuck in a foul on Rayman.
4) Euforia, Hechicero, Niebla Roja b Heddi Karaoui, Oriental, Satánico
Hechicero submitted Heddi for the win.
5) Hijo De Rey Misterio III, La Máscara, Zumbi b Damián 666, Halloween, Mr. Águila
Damian snuck in a foul on Hijo de Rey, but Mascara snuck in a foul on Damian for the win. Mascara complained about his partners post match, then was attacked by all of FdT (with X-Fly and Bestia), who challenged for a rematch.

Main event seems to build to another sort of indie show with Ingobernables versus Familia de Tijuana.

CMLL (TUE) 08/11/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Ráfaga & Thunder Boy b El Divino & Virgo
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Omar Brunetti, Súper Halcón Jr. DQ Canelo Casas, Disturbio, Metálico
Metalico is now feuding with Omar Brunetti, fouled him for the DQ.
3) Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado b Blue Panther, Stuka Jr., Super Porky
Pierroth beat Porky.
4) Kráneo, Olímpico, Ripper b Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Ripper snuck in a foul on Atlantis.
5) Máximo b Rey Bucanero
Rey Bucanero replaced Negro Casas (injury). Maximo won with a kiss.

That’s the fourth Rey Bucanero/Maximo match in the last ten months. I’m not sure there’s been a good one. Metalico feuding with Omar Brunetti explains why the Leono feud went away (and probably who was supposed to win that feud.)

Atlantis is feuding with Ripper and the Invasors here; CMLL notes he’s also feuding with Mephisto in Arena Puebla and Sombra in Arena Mexico all at the same time. My hunch is the Sombra feud was a last second addition after the other two were scheduled.

IWRG FILL (WED) 08/12/2015 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Mano a Mano, The Gladiatores]
1) Guerrero 2000 & Magnum 44 b Chicanito & Voltar
2) Black Dragon, Blue Metal, Blue Monsther b Acero, Vampiro Metálico, Vardeus
Black Dragon (probably not the old IWRG guy) replaced Hijo del Alebrije.
3) Aeroman, Dragón Fly, Omega b Chapulin, Fiero, Power Bull
Chapulin & Fiero replaced Matrix Jr. & Rey Terco Jr., who misses many of this shows.
4) Aramis, Atomic Star, Kanon b Fly Star, Galaxy, Toxin Boy
Gym Zeuz (Galaxy) vs Gym FILL-Eterno (Atomic Star). Kanon defeated Galaxy for the win. Money thrown in.
5) Marduk Jr., Oficial 911, Oficial AK47 b Alas de Acero, Canis Lupus, Eterno
Marduk Jr. replaced Keiser Drago, who was there but in a neck brace after Eterno’s martinete last week. Eterno attacked him again this week. Bloody match. Oficial AK-47 used a ref distraction to drop Alas de Oro with a martinete for the win and the revenge.

These Wednesday main event have simple stories which build from week to week. It’s so strange for IWRG.

MLW Radio has an eight minute podcast from Court Bauer that’s all apologies for TripleMania. The talk is mostly about the technical issues and how they happened, but there’s also unhappiness about the creative as well. Bauer mentions the show did well, but expects to no longer be the case after people get refunds, and actually encourages people unhappy with the show to contact their cable/satellite company for refunds. Bauer is unsure if there will be any more AAA PPVs.

This apology far more than AAA itself has done; Konnan’s interacted with people on Twitter (and been polite with the people who’ve been polite with him), but Dorian and Joaquin have been silent and Marisela is only responding and RT-ing people who are positive. There are always some true believers, including those who appear to be arguing over the date for Heroes Inmortales.

AAA’s Twitter has been quiet since the day after TripleMania. It’s Facebook has been quiet since that day. AAA lost the person in charge of their social media after TripleMania – he didn’t work for AAA, but worked for an outside company and got promoted there so he had no longer had time to work with AAA. This looks like something that was known for a while, but also looks like AAA had no one ready to take over the responsibility. The generic interviews are still turning up because they’re more a press department thing and exist more to be picked up by newspapers, but it might be a while before the social media aspect – including uploading shows to YouTube – appears again. (If you live in Mexico and have an interest and background in that sort of thing, this seems like a good time to send an unsolicited resume to AAA.)

Apolo Valdes has a column on the problems with TripleMania. In Mexico, there’s much more talk about the show itself being not any good than the production not being any good. There’s no one who thinks it was any good, it’s now a question of how they go from here.

Delta says he wants to become a legend in CMLL but did not lose sleep over losing the trios titles. You probably should lose sleep over those things if you want to become a legend.

Brian Cage is off next Sunday’s Arena Coliseo Monterrey show due to leg injury he suffered on TripleMania. The new main event is Cibernetico, Joe Lider vs Fenix & Zorro in a cage.

Super Porky, Maximo and La Mascara headlined a prison show. Article lists it as an AAA show (probably because the minis on the show claimed they worked for that group in the past.)

Guerrero Maya Jr., currently second in this week’s poll, says winning En Busca de un Idolo is only the first step in making it in CMLL.

There’s a charity show next Wednesday in Oaxaca for a child who needs to travel to the US for a heart operation.

SuperLuchas looks back at Brazos versus Villanos for a 100,000 pesos. If the Brazos actually got the money for the win, that’s better than they did for the mask match.

Video of Super Crazy vs Bengala in NOAH, a first time ever match up.

A CMLL photo gallery – maybe one of those people who did the lucha libre photo tutorial with Gonzalo?

Titan interviewed by a French site.

Parking meters are being reactivated around Arena Naucalpan. I can’t imagine a lot of people drive there.

Hijo del Santo posted a selfie of himself to Facebook in a class about social media marketing. I think he’s already graduated from that one.

El Enviado, who had to vacate the NWG Cruiserweight Championship, talks about his arm injury.
