All here. All from the Informador archives. Mostly just Fridays and Sundays; I tried looking around Tuesday (especially on weeks where there was no show on Friday), but didn’t find many. I probably missed any other shows on other days of the week, but I didn’t want to deal with all 365 days. It’s almost only lineups; the paper would take the ad money but not report on the shows.
I was trying to confirm some dates for the Mexican Light Heavyweight championship; Luchas 2000 issue on the history of that title says Alfonso Dantes won the title on July 20 and Ray Mendoza won it on August 20 from him. Neither date appears to be right, or at least right for this venue – there’s no shows in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara that day. (And most any day around that; I expanded the search to check thru every page of the newspaper around those days without catching anything.) There’s no sign of an second group running the city. It could be they’re just not advertising, but Dantes & Mendoza work for Arena Coliseo Guadalajara and wouldn’t likely be allowed to be work for some one else on the other days. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on, but I might go pull together other years to see if I can figure it out.
