CMLL on CadenaTres: 2015-07-18

if they can’t show this Niebla spit, the reaction shots almost make up for it.

Boring Tuesday shows continue.

Recapped: 07/14-25/2015.

Match 1: Bengala & Robin vs Apocalipsis & Camorra
Arena México, 07/14/2015

    • Bengala Roll on Apocalipsis (3:06)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:18
Notes: Robin replaced Sensei. Camorra either hurt his right knee very early on or came in with an injury.

Review: [below average] Completely boring opening match. I really don’t have to fill up three lines of text now that I’m just posting the recap complete, and there’s not three lines of text to say about this match. Camorra was silly for wrestling with a knee injury, I was silly for watching it.

Match 2: Leono, Molotov, Oro Jr. vs Akuma, Metálico, Sangre Azteca
Arena México, 07/14/2015

  1. rudos
    • Akuma top rope splash Oro Jr. (8:08)
    • Sangre Azteca inverted powerslam Molotov (8:52)
  2. tecnicos

    • Oro Jr. cutter Akuma (5:09)
  3. rudos
    • Sangre Azteca low blow dropkick Oro Jr. (4:46)
    • Akuma valagueza Molotov (5:24)

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 19:25

Oro did something good!

Review: [below average] A second really boring match in a row. The first fall was really slow and they didn’t pick it up much from there. This felt mailed in without much going on. Way too much Metalico of late.

Stellar Moments

El Triunfo: Akuma valagueza Magnus

El Lance: Silueta moonsault on Skadi

El Castigo: Zeuxis Spanish Fly on Vaquerita

La Llave: Estrellita with a nudo variation on Silueta

La Admirable: Dallys castia on Dark Angel

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Tritón vs Pólvora, Rey Bucanero, Vangellys
Arena México, 07/14/2015

the best CMLL rudo offense is against airborne luchadors
  1. rudos
    • Vangellys northern lights suplex Triton (3:31)
    • Rey Bucanero crossface La Mascara (3:44)
  2. técnicos
    • La Mascara casita Rey Bucanero (2:31)
  3. rudos
    • Pólvora powerbomb Triton (4:17)
    • Angel de Oro huracanrana Vangellys (4:49)
    • Super Pólvora Driver on Angel de Oro (5:49)

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:04
Notes: Angel de Oro tries to attack Pólvora on the way to the ring, but fails miserably and gets beaten up for a while. Rey Bucanero is last but he has a new music open and his belt, and better things to do than hurry to get involved. Pólvora demanded a title shot from Angel de Oro after his win, and berated the crowd to agree. Pólvora opted to beat up and unmask Angel de Oro rather than wait for a response.

Tritonsault

Review: [ok] Building up the Angel de Oro/Polvora feud, which didn’t provide anything new at all out of Angel de Oro but did get the crowd interested. Pólvora channeled Ultimo Guerrero on the finish, sitting on the top rope and asking for his opponent to put himself in a bad position (which of course he did.) Triton had a nice sequence and then was immediately beat. Rey Bucanero tried to do an inverted suplex out of the Tormenta Bucanero and La Mascara is maybe not the right guy to try that. (La Máscara mailed this one in, even for him.) Bucanero and Vangelys worked good as a team, maybe they could put together a trio with them and Terrible?

everyone hates La Mascara

Match 4: Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Titán vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla
Arena México, 07/14/2015

Only Mr. Niebla would do this.
  1. rudos
    • Mr. Niebla top rope splash Diamante Azul (3:43)
    • Cavernario dropkick Titan (4:01)
  2. técnicos
    • Diamante Azul German suplex Barbaro Cavernario (2:30)
    • Titan figure four Felino (2:30)
  3. técnicos
    • Atlantis huracanrana Mr. Niebla (5:42)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:13
Notes: This was Mr. Niebla’s latest return from suspension

Diamante Azul caries around Cavernario easily

Review: [ok] The first back match for Mr. Niebla, and it appeared he was making up for lost time with all the stuff he did in this match. He was a large and dominant part of this match, and there wasn’t a lot to it besides him. Azul & Niebla wasn’t a smooth match up. Not nearly enough Titan versus Cavernario, as they didn’t get to truly mix it up until the third fall.

that’s not normal
