there’s one safe place to moonsault from in Puebla

Review: [ok] standard tercera type match. Felt kind of mailed it at times – watch Tiger’s effort on the missed Fuego corner charge, right before Fuego breaks out his springboard plancha – but there weren’t many things that went wrong and it had a decent pace. Having the Porra Fresa atmosphere helps with these things, but this is still nothing to remember.

Fuego’s breaking out the springboard plancha more often

Winner: Invasors
Match Time: 13:00
Notes: Olímpico replaced Morphosis, which I missed in the results. Naito somewhat doesn’t get along with his teammates

Naito has learned well on this trip

Review: [OK] Another match that never felt like it got in a higher gear. First fall was slow, second fall comeback was a chaotic mess. Naito, in his last night in, took the first half of the match off. Finish is all about setting up the Invasors as title challengers, though the announcers don’t mention it.

Match 3: La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
Arena Puebla, 06/22/2015

  3. Guerreros
    • Gran Guerrero Toro Slam La Sombra (4:23)

Winner: Guerreros (2-1)
Match Time: 10:41
Notes: Ingobernables jumped the Guerreros, match is joined with the Guerreros already down. The results sets up a title match, though the promo is cut out and the announcers do not mention it.

Gran Guerrero’s MOVE

Review: [ok] This is a match built around the concept of La Sombra being scare of facing Gran Guerrero. I found the concept really tough to grasp. Gran Guerrero’s double backflip over two enemies spot is nonsense and he won’t stop doing it. Otherwise, this is a B version of the usual Ingobernables/Guerreros match with the unlikely result of Gran Guerrero winning clean when Sombra feeds himself into Gran Guerrero’s finish. I think Tirantes is secretly a big Ingobernables fan. He never punishes them for all being in the ring all the time and happily goes along with their distractions.
