The final Guadalajara show (until the next time things change around.)

a lot of effort for a dropkick

  1. rudos
    • Okumura hanging DDT Stuka Jr. (5:14)
    • Hechicero conjuro Angel de Oro (5:17)
  2. tecnicos
    • Angel de Oro mecedora Hechicero (4:46)
  3. tecnicos
    • Pegasso small package Boby Zavala (4:17)
    • Stuka torpedo splash Okumura (4:46)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:49
Notes: Hechicero has a new outfit, and one of his straps falls apart under the strain of mat wrestling. Not tough enough.

Pegasso ramp diving headscissors?

Review: [ok] Match kind of peaked with a fun Hechicero/Angel de Oro mat sequence. That was the opening minutes of the match, so that’s not totally good. Hechicoer and Oro have some chemistry and Zavala looked good, but this was a lot generic midcard match. Pegasso adding a ramp dive headscissors is surprising.

Stuka almost does a full flip on impact

Match 2: Delta, Diamante Azul, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 06/09/2015

Rey Bucanero very sad to be back taking monkey flips
  1. TRT
    • three man powerbomb Diamante Azul (2:09)
  2. técnicos
    • DQ rudos [excessive violence] (2:40)
  3. tecnicos
    • Guerrero Maya tirabuzón cradle Vangellys (2:50)
    • Rey Bucanero inside cradle Guerrero Maya Jr. (3:34)
    • Diamante Azul camel clutch Rey Bucanero (3:54)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:43
Notes: Diamante Azul’s return. Rudos apparently jumped the técnicos. Bucanero works over Azul on the ramp for a while, strangely trying to put him in a cross armbreaker at one point. Rudos dominate for much of the match, including a second fall DQ for stomping Diamante Azul too long. (It appeared to only be a three count before Loco Estrada called the DQ.)

Review: [good] weirdly enjoyable because they fought totally different than usual. TRT was always supposed to be a mean brawling unit and they were actually a mean brawling unit this time (now that they’re no longer TRT.) It felt less structured and more out of control than these brawls usually do. Angry Guerrero Maya works well in that style. Azul looks about the same as always, which is actually good considering how long he’s been away. I was expecting much less. There was some strangeness near the end, with Maya rushing back into get eliminated for no reason, and Azul just no-selling Bucanero’s backbreaker spot in a rush to get in his own move.

Maya doing good until the punch

Match 3: Máximo, Naito, Rush vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Felino, Rey Escorpión

Ingobernables continue to be mean to Maximo
  1. rudos
    • Máximo senton Felino (3:31)
  2. tecnicos
    • Rush northern lights suplex Felino (1:33)
  3. tecnicos
    • Rush corner dropkick Barbaro Cavernario (3:28)
    • Naito corner dropkick Rey Escorpion (3:28)

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 8:32
Notes: Rush & Naito refused to get along with Maximo

Escorpion/Naito war

Review: [ok] This is, by my count, the 500th episode of this TV show. Not all 500 episodes have featured the Ingobernables trolling a técnico, but I feel like I’ve definitely seen it 500 times. The first half of this match is all Rush & Naito messing with Máximo until even the rudos get annoyed with it, and then the Ingobernables win anyway. The third fall is about 9 minutes in, start there if you’re going to watch this at all. It’s so much better than the rest of the match, with Naito having another one of his long chop exchanges with Rey Escorpion, Rush deciding to destroy everyone by himself, and the finish.

Escorpion was better when he was standing still
