Casas/Lee was good, though not as good as I hoped.

  1. Dragon Lee German suplex (5:17)
  2. Negro Casas scorpion (4:02)
  3. Negro Casas casita (7:08)

Winner: Negro Casas (2-1)
Match Time: 16:27
Notes: Negro Casas retains the title, is a three time Leyenda de Plata winner (tying Místico I)

Review: [good] Thought there was going to be more to this than there was; they worked the match an unexpected way, but not well enough to be something I can imagine needing to watch again. Dragon lee worked an entire big match without a dive (at least as far as the subpar editing would have you believe.) Instead, after the first fall, they worked a lot around submission holds the crowd never seemed to quite believe. Dragon Lee specifically spent a lot of time working over one of Casas’s arms, and Casas just ignored it to put Dragon Lee in all sorts of sleeprs. I kept waiting for the match to pick up and only slightly did the last minute or two. Babe Richard seemed to think the match was built around Casas heel kicking questionably low, which was not the most entertaining sub plot. They gave all three falls time, but both falls Casas won, Casas won pretty easily. That’s what you got out of this match.

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)

Notes: Marco went for the Aero Italia at the end of the match, was cut off by a Thunder back elbow. Guerreros instantly won.

Review: [ok] Tirantes got on a kick on calling some matches Sunday or Tuesday matches but not Friday matches. This was definitely a Sunday or Tuesday match – just everyone doing their normal routines leading up the finish. Just doing the standing in the corner appealing for cheers late in the third fall stood out – you shouldn’t need to beg that much close to end of the match. Thought the timing spots weren’t so great in the last run, with a lot of people having to find reasons to stand around for a beat or two while other people got into position.
