Boby Zavala and no one else wins in Busca, Lucha Underground,

CMLL referee literally living in the past, counts submission after time has run out. (Even if he doesn’t see the clock, he’s got an earpiece in.)

CMLL (TUE) 06/23/2015 Arena México [CMLL, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) Acero & Aéreo DQ Pequeño Nitro & Pequeño Violencia
rudos fouled Acero for the DQ in straight falls.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Metálico, Nitro b Hombre Bala Jr., Magnus, Súper Halcón Jr.
3) Flyer TLDRAW Canelo Casas [En Busca de un Idolo] Cuarta Temporada del torneo (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
Neither man was capable of beating the other in the time limit. Super Porky was the guest referee, and made a joke of giving everyone 10. Flyer scored a 10 (Porky), 8 (Gladiador), 6 (Shocker), 5 (Tirantes). Canelo, who failed at an inverted suplex during the match, scored a 10, 8, 7, 5 for an inexplicable 30.
4) Boby Zavala b Blue Panther Jr. [En Busca de un Idolo] Cuarta Temporada del torneo (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
Zavala won with a top rope splash. Bobby scored a 10 (Porky), 7 (Gladiador), 9 (Shocker), 6 (Tirantes) for 32. Blue Panther Jr., who also failed on a suplex, scored a 10, 8, 6, 5 for a 29.
5) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Valiente DQ Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado
Another straight falls match ending in DQ, with Sagrado unmasking Valiente.
6) Atlantis, Dragon Lee, La Máscara b Felino, Terrible, Vangellys
7) Ángel de Oro, Mistico, Volador Jr. b Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
Misitca on Mephisto.

I missed this show. I’m told that was possibly a good thing.

Puma won the Occidente Light Heavyweight Championship from Exterminador. I’m still not sure Exterminador was champion, I’m pretty sure this is something I should be able to look up officially instead of doing my own research, I’m definitely sure it doesn’t matter.

Today’s Lucha Underground episode is #33, Death vs the Dragon. Matches on the schedule

  • Sexy Star vs Super Fly
  • Aerostar vs The Mack vs Marty Martinez vs Cage
  • Mil Muertes vs Drago, winner gets the Ultma Lucha title match against Prince Puma

Also, there’s a vignette with Cartina and the current trios champions on YouTube already. Pentagon Jr. will also make an appearance. I’m going to guess he’ll be there to make balloon animals for all the children break someone’s arm.

Today’s IWRG show has the big Black Terry/Eterno singles match, built over the last month. +LuchaTV has Black Terry challenging for the match and a bloody Eterno vowing to take over.

Black Terry Jr. has video of the Rich Swann/Flamita match from DTU. DTU notes the turnout didn’t go so well, but they still felt like they put on a good show for the people who did come.

Matt D at Segunda Caida watches Dragon Lee, Fuego, Oro Jr. versus Metalico, Skandalo and Virus, tragically decides he’s going to watch Oro versus Metalico.

Terra is having a poll for best luchador ever. El Santo is leading in very light voting.

Zexuis  says she’s feeling 80-90%, returned about a month early by her choice, and wants to defend her title against Vaquerita.

Apolo Valdez writes about the current state of lucha libre media.

SuperLuchas looks back to Mil Mascaras vs Perro Aguayo and talks to Sagrado about the All Elite show.

Voices of Wrestling has the latest Lucha of the Hidden Temple reviewing the last two Lucha Underground episodes.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 06/30/2015 Arena México
1) Acero & Aéreo vs Pequeño Universo 2000 & Pequeño Violencia
2) Metatrón, Soberano Jr., Starman vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Metálico, Nitro
3) Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Esfinge [En Busca de un Idolo]
4) Delta vs Disturbio [En Busca de un Idolo]
5) Fuego, Stuka Jr., Titán vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Ripper
6) Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, La Máscara vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora

Guerrero Maya Jr. should work rudo in his match, because that’s the best chance of that match working. They’ve done no storyline sequences on this show since Dragon Lee/Kamaitachi got pulled. There’s been some good matches some weeks, but I’m not sure if this will be one of those.
