Mesias tries to take out a post, Fenix takes him out

Recapped: 06/02/2015

Previously: La Secta destroyed Angelico & Jack, repeatedly. Electroshock said his trio would take over. Alberto and Cage feuded.

There’s a Rey Mysterio Jr. Verano de Escandalo promo coming back from just about every break.

Match 1: Faby Apache & Keira vs Mary Apache & Taya Valkyrie
Lienzo Charro, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 05/02/2015

Winner: rudas (Taya double stomp Keira)
Match Time: 11:14
Rating: ok
Notes: Hijo del Tirantes is referee, as always with Faby. This is Keira’s AAA debut and the first woman’s match to air since last year’s Guerra de Titanes. Taya and Faby have been in a lot of mixed tags.

Mary returns, still powerbombing people very hard

Review: [ok] Unmemorable match. Faby did her usual armdrag with Hijo del Tirantes even though Tirantes hadn’t really done anything all match, because this was very autopilot. Faby worked very hard against her sister, and everything else was much slower. Crowd was either super quiet or Taya was really loudly taunting. Maybe both. Keira didn’t get over much, but they didn’t really set the match much up for her to get over much. She was just some woman who got powerbombed by Mary very hard.

Keira is welcomed to AAA

This week in the continuing adventures of Mascara Año 2000 Jr.: he got another gift, and interrupts a Texano & Fantasma photo session to break it up. Anyway, Texano and Fantasma suggest Taya & Mary as possibilities for the mystery admirer. It’s Pimpinela, isn’t it.

Electroshcok’s new Group video package, which is mostly Electroshock clips.

Match 2: El Elegido, Monsther Clown, Murder Clown vs Electroshock, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Kronos
Lienzo Charro, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 05/02/2015

Winner: Holocausto (three man cutter on Elegido)
Match Time: 11:34
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Maya. Electroshock’s group is officially named Holocausto, complete with new gear for Pirata and an actual name for Kronos (who is dressed up like Bane with hair.) Tecnicos rush the rudos in the aisle but get the worst of it. Holocausto dominate until just after the break, when the Clowns make a comeback. Murder Clown actually lands his top rope splash on everyone, but técnicos celebrate instead of trying for the pin.

Electroshock grabbed the microphone to say the Psycho Circus and everyone else in can’t match them. Murder Clown ran the rudos off.

three man DDT

review: [ok] A debut for the new trio. Not an impressive one, not a bad one, just a debut. Longer than it needed to be and much more even, but it’s just not the style to do squashes here. Elegido’s not the guy you want to be showing off your new fancy triple teams with but there was no right guy in this técnico group, which generally didn’t have much to offer. Murder is pretty strong to get Electro up for a press slam.

Mesías says he doesn’t need a promotion or the fans, and now he’s got no consequence and no pity.

Match 3: El Patrón Alberto & Fénix vs Brian Cage & El Mesías
Lienzo Charro, Pachuca, Hidalgo, 05/02/2015

wheelbarrow faceslam

Winner: rudos (Cage Weapon X Fenix)
Match Time: 11:30
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Maya.

Rudos beat up the teccicos after the match, but Alberto turns it around and tosses them both out. Alberto fired up the crowd and taunted Cage after the match, only to be attacked from behind again. Both técnicos were laid out with belt shots and Cage posed with the belt.

Fenix suplexed in

Review: [good] best match on the show and the taping, easily. Could’ve been even better with a stronger crowd, but they meshed well after a slow start. It felt like Cage reversing Alberto’s armbar into a powerbomb was the best finish, but Cage surviving Fenix’s 450 (630 if you’re an announcer here) and planting him with a Weapon X was pretty good. Mesías/Alberto looked good too, and Cage & Alberto have their match worked out.
