Pierroth jumps?

Match 1: Esfinge, Gallo, Tritón vs Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 04/28/2015

  1. Comando Boricua
    • Pierroth senton Gallo (2:14)
  2. técnicos
    • DQ rudos (too long in the ring together) (2:33)
  3. Comando Boricua
    • Misterioso pin Gallo (2:58)

Winner: Comando Boricua (2-1)
Match Time: 7:45
Rating: ok
Notes: Sagrado pulled Gallo’s mask to set up the finish. Gallo wore his title belt to the ring, teasing this as a setup to a title match (which it will be)

how is this not just as bad for Sagrado (except for the clapping and stomping)

Review: [ok] a build up match for a match that’s not that interesting. Announcers marked out hard for the Pierroth dropkick spot. Not sure I blame them. Pierroth has also improved in his wildly punching skill set. I still don’t want to see him. DQ in the second fall felt rushed, with the referee only counting for three – Tirantes said it should’ve been five – but that was finish they would’ve gone with anyway. It does look dumb when the rudos just continue triple teaming to start the third fall without any problem. Sagrado sold big for Esfinge, Esfinge just looked like a guy but Sagrado looked great. I’m not sure how that works. It felt like Triton was in this match for about 30 seconds.

complete run of Cavernario emotions

Review: [ok] heavy Marco match, since Porky is Porky and spent most of the match in the corner and Titan (and Cavernario) only came in for quick runs of offense. This match took place just before their title match, so you’d think those two would be doing practice runs for their match. Nope, they instead busted out like five different spots which weren’t used in the title match. Cavernario’s superkick looked so great. Thunder doing a cradle suplex okay with Marco is stunning, and also everyone was confused that Marco was captain. Thunder did all of his wrestling with Marco and while Thunder’s execution is still not great, it does feel like he might actually understand what he’s meat to be doing out there. Not sure the editor knows what they’re doing. They cut away from Niebla doing the spit spot in the center of the ring, then cut back to him magically being outside the ring and taking a Porky plancha. It was a long crowd shot but Porky isn’t that fast.

Mistico falls horribly, nothing to see here.

headstand warfare

Review: [good] First fall was the story of the match: Valiente’s mat section was good, Volador’s was very good, and Místico was in between botching a high spot. He didn’t botch all the spots, but they had it set for him to only be in for small periods of times and big moments, and only about half those big moments came off well. (And that’s just what we saw – there was one very obvious edit we saw.) That ramp headscissors spot is also super transparently set up every time. Rest of match was fine, with Volador looking super and would’ve been great with just an average performance from anyone else. The Sky Team act would be much better if they could replace Místico, but also probably wouldn’t exist without Místico.
