This Aerostar dive went very well!

Previously: Dinastía, La Secta vs Jack & Angelico, Fenix vs Fantasma, and Cage talks about Alberto.

Match 1: Gotita de Plata, Niño Hamburguesa, Pasion Kristal vs Belial, Carta Brava Jr., El Apache
Deportivo Colon, Xalapa, Veracruz, 04/03/2015

Winner: técnicos (Niño Hamburguesa splash Carta Brava & Belial)
Match Time: 10:52
Notes: Belial wears a Perros del Mal t-shirt.

trio violence

Review: [ok] Basic mixed match opener, with the regular crew getting more time than Belial and Gotita. Belial seemed comfortable with the role of being a rudo but was also very sure to get all his moves in, which makes some sense given the situation. Gotita didn’t get to cut loose really until the end but his plancha looked good. Tecnicos did the same match they always do, and Carta & Apache had less to do than their usual matches against the flyers.

Gotita de Plata, high flyer of the year 2018

Verano de Escandalo video package leads into a narrated piece pushing the Cuervo/Scoria vs Jack/Angelico feud. Some for Cage/Alberto.

Hijo del Fantasma talks to Konnan on the phone and relates the conversation to Daga: he wants them to raise the name of Perros del Mal. They’re both very happy to do this to honor Perro Jr.

Taya lends a helping boot

Match 2: Bengala & Drago vs Daga & Joe Lider
Deportivo Colon,  Xalapa, Veracruz, 04/03/2015

Winner: técnicos (Drago mist->Dragon’s tail Joe Lider)
Match Time: 10:24
Notes: Daga is wearing his Perros del Mal t-shirt. Taya accompanies the team and holds onto the stapler at the start of the match. Taya got hit with a chair by mistake from Lider, and they spent a long time focusing on her getting medical help.

Review: [ok] two rudos with different styles, and this was more of a Lider style match than a Drago one. Lider stapling Drago thru his giant thick mask is hard to believe, but probably much preferably for Drago. Lider got cracked in the side of the head on Bengala’s springboard moonsault, while turning to try to get in a better position. He looked to be in some pain, and still managed to go thru with about four more spots before he could get out of there. Not sure if the plan was for Taya to come in when she did, but it was a helpful stall for Lider’s sake. There was a weird spot later where Lider came in to stand right in front of Daga’s hold so he could get dropped into it. Maybe the idea was for Lider to be protecting the hold, but he just seemed too obvious as a setup. Lider destroyed himself on a missed corner charge later too. There was some good work with Bengala and Drago, but they’ve had better.

This is like the 4th worst thing that happens to Aerostar in this match

Match 3: Aerostar, Blue Demon Jr., La Parka vs Averno, Chessman, Cibernético
Deportivo Colon, Xalapa, Veracruz, 04/03/2015

Winner: técnicos (Blue Demon double underhook backbreaker Averno, Parka casadora cradle Chessman)
Match Time: 6:51

La Parka finds a great place to put this Parka banner

Review: [ok] The one where it looked like Aerostar almost died. (Wait, that doesn’t narrow it down) It’s more it looked bad live, and the fans near where it happened made a very scared noise. Cibernético, making the catch because he was the guy not getting pinned, is not a great guy at making catches and didn’t improve that track record here. Aerostar did roll over at the last second and it was probably not as bad as the post match medical treatment made it feel. Aerostar had a good match to that point, looking good on the comeback and connecting on the tricker dive. The rest was a usual Parka/Demon/Hell Brothers match, only cut down to a much more palatable length. Hope they keep doing that.

lived to fight another day
