I got excited by seeing a note on Univision’s site listing a Lucha Underground season 2 dates, assuming it meant a renewal.
It turns out that note has been sitting there for a few weeks and is not confirming the renewal. They’re still working on the show, and those dates (10/28 season premiere) are the working idea of when things are coming back, but it’s still no more official than it was yesterday.
Keep bugging people to watch the show.
It would take 2 minutes to “update”, but it still has Season 2 with the same dates. I give a bit more weight to U Corporate than some unnamed guys contacted by newssites. They won’t make any announcement for season 2 since they haven’t even announce a season 1 finale. They might be waiting to see how ratings go during the summer.
Unimas ratings will surely go down, simply because a ton of people is gonna be down in Mexico -which is why they skipped airing shows during the end of year holidays, even thou U+ was in a non holiday Saturdays. Maybe El Rey ratings will keep the same, but the August season finale doesn’t really make sense from a tv season point of view (everyone packs up by April or May)
