two man splash

recap

gumby Dinastia

Dinastía & Mascarita Sagrada vs Mini Charly Manson & Mini Psycho Clown: [good] Nice opener that changed from normal mini formula. Seemed a few minute lesser length than usual, and more rudo dominated than usual. It wasn’t just the usual Dinastía/Sagrada highlight show, but the rudos were aggressive and creative enough to work. The técnicos still got their big dives in at the end and wacky offense early, there was just more of a mix of both. This seems to set up a Mini Psycho Clown/Dinastia match, which would be fun if they get there.

Aerostar, Argenis, Fénix vs Carta Brava, Electroshock, Hijo de Pirata Morgan: [great] Fun action match, with both sides meshing well. The ending story is Carta Brava is not good enough to be with these rudos, amusing since he’s very good the rest of the match and fit in excellent against these técnicos. This is one where everyone looked good, Fenix did his usual offense and looked great on the finish. Aerostar had weird ideas, including that corner thing I don’t know what it was and the double tope into one Electroshock (which appeared to be as dangerous idea as it reads.) Pirata took offense well, and looked super aggressive breaking things up and on the attack – feels like he’s gotten stronger with that. Electroshock was a true weirdo: rudo using a tapatía, attacking Copetes for blocking him off on a tope, the strange punches he was throwing near the end. This style seemed like one where he might get in the way, but he played his role fine. Crowd was way into it, though they really needed to cool it on all the crowd shots. This match also felt like it was shot for HD; some of the action was disappearing when they went into the corners.

Bengala, Drago, Jack Evans vs Daga, Dark Scoria, Súper Fly: [ok] had a tough act to follow and didn’t totally click; it seemed kind of aimless especially after the comeback. There were some good spots in here, but didn’t come off as meaningful ones, just things that occurred. The great Daga sit down powerbomb into a cross armbreaker shoudl’ve meant something, but he and Bengala just got back up a couple seconds later to keep on going. Match was intended to set up the Jack/Angelico vs Cuervo/Escoria (and should’ve aired before the one from last week) and Jack & Escoria looked awkward in their first exchange, but they and Cuervo were super in the minute leading to the finish. The DDT was superb, and Jack looked like he got bisected by Cuervo’s tope. The tag feud will be great if that’s the level of the fued.

Blue Demon Jr. & Myzteziz vs El Mesías & Hijo del Fantasma: Blue Demon Jr. & Myzteziz vs El Mesías & Hijo del Fantasma: [ok] total house show main event match. Crowd was pleased with it, but it seemed slower and lower content than the rest of the TV matches here. Everyone was fine doing the match they were tyring to do, it just was very basic. The way they slipped in the foul was at least different and sneaky.
