the short lived Sombra & Zacarias friendship

Bom-Ba-Ye?

Marcela, Princesa Sugehit, Syuri vs Dalys, La Comandante, La Seductora: [not rated, but trending below average] recording failed during the match, which was no great loss. First fall was not going well and the second fall was better in highlights. The Sugehit kick to Dalys couldn’t have been worse timed. More matches should air in highlights, but they pay for four announcers and no good editing. Dalys as an opponent for Syuri makes sense when they’re doing the kickboxing spots. It didn’t make sense for the other spots, with Syrui or anyone else. They did other spots, they weren’t any good. Crowd, with years of training to boo all foreigners, was quite anti-Syrui in the first fall. Comandante was quite anti-Syuri with her chokeslam.

ahhhhhhchokeslam
Marcela more on target than Dalys

not sure what Maximo is communicating here

Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Terrible: [ok] Rudos looked a little bit motivated, had a combo spot to try, and got the win, but they’re also obviously the same guys with new t-shirts. This was a match where they absolutely needed to break from the usual formula to make this feel like something different and instead just did the normal match. It was easy to write off this rudo act just by seeing the names, and nothing in this match changes that initial opinion. It’s TRT with Shocker instead of Vangellys or Tiger, and that’s not actually an improvement in 2015. Editing remains horrible, putting in a break 10 seconds before a pinfall; I can’t imagine how this must be to watch live, but I can’t imagine many are.

Volador sent packaging

La Sombra, Negro Casas, Rush vs Euforia, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. in a relevos increíbles match:[good] better than expected! Both sides played it straight all the way thru. Sombra & Rush not only working with Negro Casas, but they worked well together. Casas on the opposite gave us a sequence with him and Ultimo Guerrero, great rivals of a decade and a half ago who still looked good against each other today. Rush chopped Euforia very hard and sells more than gets noticed. They did just enough of Sombra/Volador to make you want to see it next week. This is surely better than it would’ve been had Thunder been involved (but you can say that about any match.) This was only about 10 minutes, a longer match might have been epic.
