Faby Apache, Niño Hamburguesa, Pasion Kristal vs El Apache, Mamba, Mary Apache: [ok] regular mixed tag match. It’s Mary’s first appearance in a while, but there’s no much of her and Faby, it’s mostly the other people doing other things. Kristal was OK, but just not interesting to me. They are limiting Niño Hamburugesa to only the moves he does well, and that seems work better.
Angélico, La Parka, Psycho Clown vs Dark Cuervo, Pentagón Jr., Texano: [ok] an angle – a few angles! – wrapped around a match. Psycho Clown and Pentagon Jr. both seemed to be limping before they were taking out with leg injuries, and the match was mostly about excusing why those two guys wouldn’t be finishing the match. That made it a completely brawl from the start all the way until a couple minutes before the finish, when Angelico and La Secta’s unrelated angle. That might be good and crowd was loud for all of this, but it wasn’t much of a match.
Alberto el Patrón vs Brian Cage: [ok] A lot slower paced than I would’ve expected, with a bunch of that attributed to the delays into a street fight. Still almost worth watching for the crazy crowd reactions from the moment Alberto comes to the ring. The crowd was into this show the whole time but even stronger right there. They did the street fight aspect to get where they wanted (giving Cage a big win while somewhat protecting Alberto) but these are two guys who don’t seem like they need that sort of shortcuts and the shortcuts didn’t add enough to counter balance the pace issues they brought on. You’re going to need to fast forward a bit if you watch this, and Cage is going to need to better position Alberto before he goes for his next moonsault. The little kid who gave his chair to Alberto will never forget that moment.
