does this really count as a spear? it’s some other move if you’re just bending down.

Tiger & Puma > Esfinge

Blue Panther Jr., Esfinge, The Panther vs Okumura, Puma, Tiger: [OK] if you like the Tiger/Puma vs Panther/Panther matches, this is more of that. Okumura and Esfinge were adequate third wheels. There was a lot of same feeling with their other matches and not a lot to separate it; maybe I’m downgrading it too much for that, but it didn’t specifically stand out for me. They continue working very well together at any rate.

The Panther tope
Maximo working a rope walk into the comedy splash spot

La Máscara, Máximo, Super Porky vs Mr. Águila, Ripper, Vangellys: [below average] Máximo & Super Porky comedy match that appeared as a small match. Either it was cut that way, or they did even less than usual in this one. Everyone did their parts fine enough and there weren’t any big mishaps but you’ve seen this many times better.

Marco gets in a workout at any opportunity

La Sombra, Marco Corleone, Rush vs Negro Casas, Shocker, Terrible: [ok] First two falls were good build to Terrible/Sombra; too bad it was the other four guys having a match next week. They didn’t even really get that built up at all except the third fall of the main event, and the announcers (who are watching this knowing the next week’s card) didn’t promote that match. This show doesn’t ever work as a TV program. Terrible and Marco made this feel different than the usual Ingobernable match but they needed to clean things up here. The second fall especially had moments where people seemed to be on different pages. Shocker’s spear is now bending over and having people run into his shoulder. There’s nothing Tirantes is more passionate than about people being counted down when they’re slightly underneath the ropes. He even cited the article number of the rule.

Casas probably would prefer the dropkick to the face than to this
