Mistico separates shoulder and wins anyway, next show for The Crash

CMLL (MON) 04/13/2015 Arena Puebla [El Popular, Periodico Enfoque]
1) Arkalis & Tigre Rojo Jr. b El Malayo & Guerrero Espacial
2) Astral, Astro, Eléctrico b Espíritu Maligno, Pierrothito, Saurón
Espiritu Maligno was hurt on a Astral move in the second fall and left the match.

4) Kráneo, Rey Escorpión, Ripper b Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Máximo
5) Atlantis, Mistico, Volador Jr. b Ephesto, Mephisto, Shocker
Tecnicos took 1/3. Mistico separated his left shoulder during the match, but got it popped back in and ended up winning.

Mistico continues to have bad injury luck in this arena, but it sounds as though it wasn’t severe this time.

In a correction from yesterday, Arena Coliseo Guadalajara are not moving back to Sunday shows. Their secondary show will remain on Friday. Just appears to be a misunderstanding.

PWInsider reports Dark Angel is a guest trainer at WWE’s NXT facility this week. (Nonpopup source here.) WWE routinely brings in various current and former wrestlers as week long guest trainers. Occasionally, if the trainers click over many visits and if the trainer is interested, they may be brought in full time.

Dragon Rojo Jr., finally not falsely advertised as wrestling this week, says he’s coming back next week.

Today’s CMLL Arena Mexico show has Atlantis, La Mascara, and Dragon Lee versus Terrible, Rey Bucanero and Kamaitachi, with CMLL talking about this possibly setting up a Kamaitachi/Dragon Lee title match. The Panthers and Comando Boricuas are back at each other, and the lightning match is Virus vs Fuego. Guadalajara has Sky Team vs Guerreros, which may also set up a title match, though both may be a couple weeks off yet to put them close to Kid’s Day.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of ChilangaMask matches: Negro Navarro vs Dragon Lee, Psycho Kid vs Black Terry and Arez & Belial vs Iron Kid & Aramis.

+LuchaTV has Hijo de Dos Caras and Negro Navarro talking about their title match, and Navarro on his sons versus the Ingobernables.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update, this week’s PosterMania, and reports on the LA Triton’s benefit show and Misterisoso & Stuka in El Paso.

SuperLuchas looks back at a super international card from 35 years ago.

A charity show on 05/09 in Arena Lopez Mateos will be headlined by the Traumas vs Oficial AK47 & Oficial 911 vs Eterno & Canis Lupus vs Rey Hechicero & Oro Jr.

Highlights of Discovery & Psicosis’ bloody match in Cicero, Illinois.

1) Arez & Belial b Aramis & Iron Kid
Iron Kid & Aramis looked good in defeat.
2) Keira b Impulso
3) Justiciero & Magnifico b Tigre Rojo & Tigre Rojo Jr.
Hometown team beat the Puebla team in a good match. Tigres beat Justiciero but Magnifico rallied to defeat them both.
4) Jeque b Herodes Jr.
crowd liked the match, wanted a rematch
5) Black Terry b Psico Kid
good match
6) Virus b Avisman (posted by )
money thrown in
7) Negro Navarro b Dragon Lee (CMLL)
Dragon Lee could not compete with Navarro’s mat skills.
8) Aero Boy b Soberano Jr., Alas de Acero
Alas de Acero looked nervous and struggled in his first main event. He missed on a shooting star press and Aeroboy submitted him for the win.

Sounds like the main event may have had some problems but good stuff underneath. SuperLuchas has a long interview with Aeroboy on his career.

CMLL (SUN) 04/12/2015 Arena México [CMLL, Terra]
1) Bengala & Molotov b Apocalipsis & Cholo
2) Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pierrothito b Acero, Aéreo, Shockercito
Mercurio replaced Pequeno Nitro. Rudos took 1/3. Shockercito took the usual stretcher ride after Demus’ finish.
3) Okumura, Pierroth, Sagrado b Blue Panther Jr., Starman, The Panther
moved down a spot. Said to be a rare clean straight fall win for a rudo team.
4) Delta b Pólvora [lightning]
moved up a spot. Delta won a superplex in 7:43. CMLL gave up on reporting on their own show at this point.
5) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Vangellys b Fuego, La Máscara, Super Porky
6) Bárbaro Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas b Atlantis, Mistico, Titán
Peste Negra took 2/3.

a show of no news. I don’t think I’ll be getting requests for ClaroSports next week.

IWRG (SUN) 04/12/2015 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Aeroman & Astro Rey Jr. b Araña de Plata & Atomic Star
2) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo b Electro Boy, Hip Hop Man, Imposible, Picudo Jr.
straight falls, first by excessive violence DQ
3) Canis Lupus, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Oficial 911 b Hijo de Mascara Sagrada, Relámpago, Yakuza
3) Chicano, Ricky Cruz, Veneno b Eterno, Pirata Morgan, X-Fly
Pirata submitted Cruz to a kneebar in the first, Cruz did the same to Pirata in the second and Pirata was so hurt that he was unable to continue. Eterno & X-Fly resorted to extreme tactics to fight the numerical disadvantage, eliminating Chicano after a chair shot, but Veneno & Cruz rallied to win.
5) Hijo De Dos Caras © b Negro Navarro [IWRG IC HEAVY] (posted by +LuchaTV)
Technical title match. Dos took 1/3 to keep the title. Fifth defense. They hugged after the match (so maybe Navarro’s back to being a tecnico now.)

Cruz kind of taunted Pirata about putting him out of action. It reads like a storyline.

WWE announced a new batch of trainees at NXT, which includes a masked man named Oscar Vasquez. That’s Ciudad Juarez/El Paso’s Magno, who’s been in TNA and was a featured luchador on Lucha Libre USA. He was the current Sin Cara’s tag team partner back before Incognito joined WWE. Magno was still working indy shows as recently as two weeks ago. He’s the current NWA Welterweight Champion, so I guess that title is going away. (Hooray.)

Segunda Caida Matt D reviews Charles Lucero vs Hechicero.

Quick interview with indy luchador Chavo Banda.

Lineups

Really looking forward to CMLL getting bored with the TGR trio and forgetting to book them together. (It only took about a couple months for them to get bored with Comando Boricua.)

Semimain sets up the 04/26 main event against Peste Negra. The Panthers and Reyes del Atlantida seem like 50/50 bets, and favorites to win the titles next week. It’s way too soon to do that with Blue Panther Jr., but that hasn’t stopped CMLL yet.

2) Sensei vs El Rebelde
3) Silueta vs Narumiya

6) Dragon Lee, Titán, Valiente vs Kamaitachi, Rey Bucanero, Terrible
7) Máximo & Volador Jr. vs Shocker & Último Guerrero

Look, they forgot to team up TGR here. It appears Silueta is Narumiya’s title challenger.

Aero Boy keeps getting tested by different opponents. Black Terry continues make his way thru Who’s Who In Lucha Libre* by facing the exotico member Demencia Dorada. Fifth match is an Indystongitbles battle against themselves. Monterrey’s Epydemius visits to face the current DTU Consgarado champion.

    • I really need to do that book someday.
