Marco plancha from the inside

Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Thunder: [ok] outside of the finish, it’d be hard to believe there was a hair match coming up with Máximo and any one the other side. It was a normal Máximo match the most way. The finish was convoluted than usual, but the match was no more intense than a random Tuesday. They’ve linked Thunder as Marco’s rival in recent weeks, and Thunder’s looked better in that than anything else they’ve tried with him.

Ultimo Guerrero is special

Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero © vs Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. for the CMLL World Trios Championship: [great] A title match that’s OK for the most of the first couple of falls, with some appreciated trappings of a big match, and then everything gets taken to a much higher level at the end of the second fall. Third fall was especially chaotic for a CMLL trios match. It was always crisp, but it felt like a big important fight with people pulling out moves and ideas that are rarely seen. (This is the first time Místico has seemed like pre-injury Místico, most importantly.) This one might play better to more regular fans of CMLL, because there’s a lot of finisher teases – some they get stopped before completed, some that get broken up at a two count, some that get kicked out of as big deals if you know they’re supposed to be deals. There’s also great dives and Ultimo Guerrero Feats of Strength as balance.

I have this rated the same as the tag team title match, but this match is definitely ahead of the other one. It’s probably an important story point that Ultimo Guerrero took both fall loses himself (though I’m not sure which story.) The way to my heart is combining your finishers into a nice sequence of moves exactly as they did in the second fall.
