Koko Viper ran in for the DQ.
3) Mascarita Sagrada & Octagoncito DQ Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Charly Manson
The undercard wrestlers had complained the ropes were too tight, but nothing was done until top rope broke early in this match (causing a delay.) Mini Abismo stripped Sagrada’s mask and Copetes (who had been favoring the rudos) called the DQ.
4) Faby Apache, Mary Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata b Mamba, Sexy Star, Taya Valkyrie
Mary Apache & Lady Maravilla replaced Pimpinela & and the mystery woman. Pimpinela is out due to a knee injury but appeared to apologize.
5) Parka Negra & Pentagón Jr. b Angélico & Jack Evans
Pentagon came out with Taya to the Perros del Mal music before the match, and that led into a Perro Aguayo tribute with Alberto, Cibernetico, Mesias and Blue Demon. Pentagon used a Perro Driver to beat Angelico.
6) Averno, Chessman, Cibernético b Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Cibernetico snuck in a foul Psycho Clown
7) Blue Demon Jr., El Patrón Alberto, La Parka b El Mesías, Texano Jr., Zorro
Mesias switched sides to replace Perro Aguayo, with Demon taking Mesias’ spot. Alberto beat Texano.

LuchaMania Monterrey notes there was an increased medical presence at this show too, even extending to matches being paused when it looked like someone might be actually hurt (but never turned out to be.)

1) Hip Hop Man b Araña de Plata, Atomik Star, Alas de Acero, Aeroman
Hip Hop Man beat Arana de Plata.
2) Diva Salvaje, Estrella Divina, Miss Gaviota b Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, Liderk [lumberjack strap]
Diva snuck in a foul on Liderk in revenge for a previous match.
3) Chicano & Danny Casas © b Rayan & Spector [IWRG IC TAG]
Rayan & Spector previously won a #1 contenders match. Champs took 1/3, with Casas beating Rayan & Spectro after Chicano was eliminated. Chicano & Casas’ 2nd defense.
4) Veneno b Hijo de Pirata Morgan © [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
Veneno took 2/3, winning clean with a top rope senton. Pirata falls on his 4th defense. Money thrown in.
5) Negro Navarro & Pirata Morgan b Hijo De Dos Caras & Máscara Sagrada
Rudos took 2/3, despite Navarro & Pirata not getting along early. Navarro submitted Dos, wants a title shot.

Hijo de Pirata losing his title in preparation for being with AAA more often, I’d guess. Veneno is an odd person to win but he’s over and IWRG titles don’t really matter so why not.

CMLL (MON) 03/30/2015 Arena Puebla [Periodico Enfoque]
1) Disturbio, Espíritu Maligno, Inquisidor b Asturiano, Paris, Rey Samuray
2) Dark Angel, La Vaquerita, Syuri b La Seductora, Skadi, Tiffany
Skadi’s randomly a ruda now (or at least for this match)
3) Stigma, Stuka Jr., Tritón b Puma, Sagrado, Tiger
4) Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, Blue Panther b Ephesto, Mephisto, Shocker
Blue Panther replaced Dragon Rojo Jr.
5) Rush, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Kráneo, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpión
Rush and Volador did not get along, but Rush still beat Casas. Kraneo replaced Thunder.

At least according to this picture, they’re now letting any kid under 8 into Arena Puebla free with a paying adult. There’s a sign in Puebla indicating kid’s get in free, but they’re apparently not actually allowing that.

I’m confused about what’s going on with Alberto and Cage in San Luis Potosi. A newspaper story on the AAA press conference said the missing singles match from Rey de Reyes would take place here. The headline for AAA’s article says that thing, but the body of the article says Cage is in the trios match and implies Alberto is not wrestling. (The versions of that article sent to other sites changed the headline from “Alberto versus Cage” to “Alberto and Cage”.) They’re both on the show, that I know. AAA’s trying to do things for this show they wouldn’t have otherwise done because it’s now honoring Perro Aguayo Jr., and maybe wires are just crossed about what they’re adding.

CMLL’s preview for tonight’s Arena Mexico has La Mascara in Dragon Rojo’s spot. Also, Guerrero Maya is mentioned in Dragon Lee’s spot in the semimain. That match – Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Triton vs Tiger, Puma and Kamaitachi – has the most promise of any match on the card.

Mr. Niebla isn’t coming back quietly; CMLL’s promoting his latest return from their secret suspension list. Mr. Niebla says he’s been in the gutter for a long time, so he’s back smellier than ever. Niebla’s interview focuses on CMLL suddenly having a lot of four man teams – Peste Negra, Ingobernables, Guerreros Laguneros and TRT. That would seem to suggest Tiger is still in TRT according to the press department, even though the programming department seems to think differently (he hasn’t teamed with them since August.) Niebla accurately notes CMLL doesn’t actually book atomico  (4v4) matches.

Mr. Niebla & Toscano also appeared on video to denounce a promoter in Zapotitlan for advertising them for shows they never agreed upon. Niebla says he and Toscano are professionals and would not miss shows they’ve actually said they’ll attend.

That title is the one Dragon Celestial won from Hip Hop Man back in August. I don’t think he’s defended it since, but he’s worn it to the ring a few times.

  1. That picture actually claims that CMLL is lying about that promotion and they are in fact charging for kids of all ages.
