Tecnicos took 2/3, the last when Great Eku, Sadico, Evola and Exterminador attacked the tecnicos. Leo and Xavier Cruz made the save.

Main event seems to be setting up a multiman cage match, the last refuge of lucha programmers out of ideas.

Negro Casas fouled Mistico. Mascara did not get along with his partners.

Also a show! They haven’t posted a recap – Alexis Salazar is on vacation and I’m surprised CMLL hasn’t completely fallen apart without him – so maybe there’s some angle that wasn’t reflected on Twitter.

other Rey de Reyes notes

Nothing new about the delay.

The Rey de Reyes poster mentions “2 luchas mas”, but AAA’s never said what those mas matches would be. I had assume they were local dark matches, but there definitely were enough AAA luchadors there and without a match to fill out two matches:

  • Ludxor & Venum vs Carta Brava & Apache
  • Pimpinela, Mascarita Sagrada, Faby Apache vs Mamba, Mini Abismo Negro, and Taya

Joe Lider was also present. He could fit in with one of those other matches or get involved some other way. 6pm (8pm US Eastern) is still the scheduled start time but, if you’re interested but not going to be around until a little bit later, there’s still a good chance you’ll see the entire announced card.

Perro Aguayo Jr. and Rey Mysterio Jr. showed up late to the in-ring announcement for dramatics and Brian Cage lingered near the back, but they were all there by the end. Everyone on the card appeared in the ring except for Alberto El Patron. If he was healthy, it would’ve made sense for him to walk out and look healthy. If he’s got a leg injury that’s going to be hard to hide while walking, that may be why he didn’t do much walking. It’s a little bit shady.

Stream looked great. It’s going to be in a different building tomorrow, so who knows, but they had it going thru a bad rainstorm so it seems like a good sign. 3D even worked when I tried it briefly (though it didn’t add much to the crowd shots.)

  1. The Friday shows with just locals seem to be doing about the same as the Sunday shows with four CMLL guys and locals. The Tuesday shows do bette.

There still seems to be weird swings ups and downs in Guadalajara which don’t appear to be affected by the matches. They do have a version of the Turiluchas bus (and have had it for longer, I tihnk), but I think there’s more to it. I’m not sure what it is.
