At least UG didn’t win clean? I don’t understand why he won at all but whatever.

Today’s CMLL show in Arena Mexico has Dragon Rojo Jr. vs Niebla Roja for Rojo’s CMLL middleweight champion. Terrible’s long heavyweight reign just concluded, but Dragon Rojo’s title reign is even longer. He beat Jushin Lyger six weeks earlier, and has made just one more title defense (nine.) Dragon figures to make it to nine; CMLL seems likely to change one or two other titles and it doesn’t make a lot of sense to change this one at the same time. Then again, no one really saw the Maximo win coming either. Dragon Rojo Jr. has a superb title match against La Sombra early last year, one that got forgotten because it was early and so disconnected from everything else and Niebla Roja is underrated, so there’s decent hope this might be good. This is Niebla Roja’s second ever title match – he lost to Titan last year – and he’s never won a three falls singles match in CMLL.

The rest of CMLL’s Arena Mexico card was changed around quite a bit late last week. There’s no lightning match because of the title match, and the semimain is Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., La Mascara vs Barbaro Cavernario, Gran Guerrero and Terrible.

The Mistico, Volador, Valiente trio makes it’s way to Guadalajara to take on Euforia, Negro Casas, and Ultimo Guerrero, in what looks like a preview to a CMLL Trios match soon.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania and a review of 01/21 Lucha Underground.

+LuchaTV has interviews with Arez & Belial about Pagano & Dragon Lee (slightly different styles) and their appearances on AAA TV tapings.

R de Rudo interviews Makabre about his mask match with Rayman.

Cronicas y Leyendas looks at Rikidozan in Mexico…sort of.

An interview with the man who runs a lucha libre hall of fame in Ciudad Juarez.
